I wore a floral yellow dress as I waited for Dylan to come out of his cell. I am here in the corner of the waiting area here in the jail where he is imprisoned. He's been here for four months and it's been four months since I decided on something I knew would be good for us all. And so I'm here to say goodbye to Dylan.
I ask Uncle Pao to help so that I could visit without any problems. The city jail is very strict in the case of drugs and because I am a woman, it is unlikely that other jail guards will harass me. I followed everything that Uncle Pao told me that I should do so it was easy for me to visit.
Later, I saw Dylan with the police and they entered here in the waiting area. I also saw that he had been handcuffed.
Dylan looked around so I raised my hand so he could see me immediately. When he noticed me he had a wide smile he walked towards me.
"Mia," he greeted, then came closer and hugged me tightly. "How are you?" He doesn't look like he's annoyed I'm here. We even talked about not visiting him.
“I'm fine. You? How are you?" I asked him again.
"I'm fine, let's sit down." He was with me and we sat side by side together.
“How beautiful you are today! It looks like the Mia I know is back.”
"Why, do you say I looked ugly when I always wore ripped jeans." He laughed because of what I said. "I brought something for you."
“You know I am secured here. But thanks anyway. You look blooming! You and him again?” I just smiled at him but I also raised my eyebrows.
"We're fine, but we don't have any relationship." He laughed at my answer. "No label as before."
"Tsk tsk tsk, you still love him, but I'm your first boyfriend." He says laughing. “Why are you here? You seem to have something important to say because you disobeyed me not to visit.”
“Why? Didn't you miss me? ”
"Missed, let's go to the booth and prove that we missed each other." I punched him lightly on the shoulder.
"You probably brought a lot in your cell?" I glared at him.
"Hey!" He stroked my face in protest. “I'm a good boy and I don't like another woman, Oh why are you here?” he asked me.
"I just want to say goodbye to you." He looked at me seriously as if surprised.
"I thought you were going to ask permission to marry your Jr."
"Tsk."
"Where are you going?"
“I decided to go abroad so that I could help my mother. If here the income is a bit skewed, at least abroad I can earn a little.”
He looked at me seriously then suddenly smiled and held my hand.
"You know I'm happy, because you won't be fooled into making decisions," he said. "I support you there, Mia, just for your own good." I smiled at him.
“Thank you all Dylan! with all the help to me.”
"It's nothing, Mia, I have to thank you because you were there during the times when I needed sympathy in life."
"We're just the same, Dy, you were also there during the times when I needed someone."
"Oh we're not the same, I told you we were meant to be." We both laughed because of what he said.
"The money you gave me last time, that's the placement fee I used at the agency."
“It's your money, I just saved it. When are you leaving? ”
"Tomorrow and I'm going to Taiwan." He nodded and then pinched my cheek.
“Be careful there, I know you are brave and you can do it yourself. You just know where you always fall.” He reminded.
"Yes, in a foolish decision."
"Exactly." We fell silent and then both sighed and looked at each other at the same time.
"I'll miss you," I said tearfully.
"Me too, but I want you to know that I'm happy with the decision you made."
I grabbed Dylan's hand and my tears started dripping.
"Thank you very much, Dy, I don't know how to explain it to you, but thank you very much, I hope you also have a good life when you come out."
"I promise I'll start."
"Hug me," I said.
He stood up and I did the same. He opened his hand so I hugged him while crying. We no longer care if there are other people around and who can see us.
The size of Dylan’s role in my life. I will admit that I was overwhelmed during the early days when I was not with him. But as he said everything is studied.
I will miss him.
His hug always says it's ok not to be ok because I have someone with me.
Her hug that always reminds me that I don’t need to be alone because I can share with him everything I carry.
In his embrace, I knew I had an ally. Hugs that say no matter what happens I have nothing I can't handle. Hugs that taught me to be resilient in all trials.
“Be careful Dy! I'll see you when I get home, I'll give you a lot of food for free.”
"Promise?" I nodded as I hugged him. "I'll expect that and I'll wait." When we left I couldn't stop my tears from falling. "Don't cry anymore, they might say I'm fighting you." He wiped away my tears so I cried even more.
"I'll miss you so much, Dy,"
"Me too Mia, too."
