Chapter SIXTY-FOUR

I arrived from the municipality to arrange the paperwork that Jr. and I will need for the wedding. We agreed not to prolong it. Six months from now is the set date so we are busy taking care of our priorities. What we thought was not pretentious. It's simple but of course, it needs to be elegant. I also dream of walking down the aisle while wearing white and my fiancée will be waiting for me.

Just like the ones I write before. I also want to experience that real feeling and not just in the stories I write. It's not just that fictional feeling that I feel but myself as the creator of them.

I smiled at the thought. Many scenes in my mind are slowly forming. The wedding day, the ceremony, and the honeymoon. My smile widens, even more, when I think of the honeymoon. I don't have any experience in any other work as a couple so I don't know if I need to study it or if I will know it on my own.

“It's hot outside but you're smiling! How do you feel when you are sunbathing and enjoying the heat?” Janel said.

“Why should I need a reason to smile? I am just happy that is why I am smiling.” I said without removing the smile from my lips.

“Wow! Love really does something different. You would think that the person who used to be annoyed when she saw someone smiling for no reason is now the one who makes it.”

"Janel, everything has changed," I replied.

"Yes, it's just your feelings for Jr. that aren't," she said, which made me laugh even more.

What she said was true. Even then when I had someone else he was still in my heart. I was just really tough then but I knew in my heart that he was just hiding there.

Jr. had many plans for the wedding. Janel was the organizer and she was also the planner. We also planned to stay at their house after the wedding. Her siblings will also go home on the wedding day. They still wanted to go home immediately so that they could formally ask but papa said that there was no need. What was important to my parents was that Jr.’s intentions were clean for me.

We both know that Jr.'s intention for me is true. So I have nothing to worry about there. Because even though we had blurred a few times, we felt even more stable.

WE EAT lunch. Mama and papa are away because they are busy at the flower shop. We were both finishing when we heard a call from outside.

"I'll go," Janel said. Drink some water first before heading outside.

Since I am also done, I followed her to find out who it was.

"Yes, it's here." I heard Janel say to the person she was talking to that maybe she was referring to our house or confirmed that the one she asked lived here.

I also went out so I saw a woman talking to Janel.

"Who are you?" Janel asked the woman.

Instead of answering she turned her gaze to me. She is not familiar to me. She smiled at me and ignored Janel.

"You must be Mia, Jr's fiancee." The woman looked at me from head to toe. It also grabbed my attention when I heard Jr.’s name. She looks sophisticated.

"Yeah," I replied without smiling at him. The woman smiled softly and then raised an eyebrow but that was only for a moment. It was as if I was smirking but his appearance returned to normal.

“No wonder why Jr likes you, what I heard is really true. You look like my sister.” I didn’t immediately get what she wanted to say. What she said didn't seem to sync with my brain.

Which sister is she referring to?

"My name is Amanda, Adeline's elder sister," she introduced herself. Is she the brother of Jr.'s late girlfriend? I couldn't answer what she said because I didn't know what her real reason why she is here was.

“So, what do you need? You probably didn't come here just to see my sister, did you?” Janel asked.

“Nah! I came here just to see your sister. I live in LA, and when I heard about the news that Jr will get married, I quickly came back.”

I felt Janel push me as if she wanted to tell me to speak but I couldn't speak.

“Oh, si what now if Jr marries my sister. They love each other and they are both single. There’s no problem there, is there?”

“She's twelve years younger than him. Why don't you find someone your age? Let go of Jr.”

“Let him go right away? Aren't they the only ones who have the right to say that and you don't have the right because Jr. and your sister are done? Your sister has been dead for a long time.

"There is," said the woman then approached me. “I love my sister so I left and let her stay with JR. Now that he's gone, I won't let anyone take Jr. away from me.”

What does she mean? Does she like Jr?

“Just a minute huh? Your brother has been dead for ten years, why didn't you act then?” The woman could not answer Janel's question. She just frowned but obviously didn't want to lose. "And if age is your only problem, you haven't forgotten that a lot of celebrity has an age gap with their partner? True love wins."

"Jr is mine, and I won't let him go to you," she said then turned around.

"Don't dream, Jr won't ask my sister to get married if he doesn't love my sister."

The woman looked at us again and then smiled broadly.

"His heart was mine before, so it's not hard to take it back."

"What do you mean?" here I entered the conversation so the woman smiled at me.

"He first loved me before Ade, and we secretly had a relationship while he and Ade," the woman replied.

"Well, you're really a flirt," Janel said.

"What did y -----"

"Amanda?" The woman did not finish what she was going to say when Jr. appeared. We didn't notice that he was here. We were inside the gate and mama's plants were all around the wall so I couldn't see the side of the gate.
