CHAPTER 107
ALPHA LINCOLN'S POV
This was the last thing I would have ever done, but I had no choice but to confirm, although I still had my suspicions about Alpha Luke.
Even though I was a bit confused now, my instincts are just so strong on Alpha Luke.
"Well this was unexpected", that was what Ava said when she picked up my call.
"For me too," I told her politely, "Can we see? At a restaurant, I have something important to say to you."
"Text me the details," she said, and ended the call.
Sincerely, since that day, Ava never contacted me again, and I did not think she would even pick up then talk less of agreeing to meet with me, but I was glad she did.
I texted her the details and time.
The same day, we met at an old restaurant.
"Not sorry for keeping you waiting," she said as she joined me after making me wait for like an hour to the extent I thought she would not come.
I even called and texted her to know if she would make it, but she ignored me and at the last minute when I was about to leave she came.
I nodded and pointed to her seat, "Please."
"Truth is, I have arrived since but just decided to punish you a little bit," She told me, keeping a straight face.
That was, by the way, "I am just going to go straight to the point."
"Are we not going to order something?", She asked.
"Yes, sure, you can order whatever you want," I said calmly, calling the waiter.
She ordered what she wanted, and I resumed what I was saying, but first I let her enjoy her meal.
When she got halfway done, I dropped it on her, "Montana disappeared! Actually, the right word is kidnapped."
Ava still kept eating but paused when I finished my status and stared at me, "How?"
I looked at her searching for anything that might betray her but could not find any, or was she just good at acting dumb?
Let's see.
"I do not know, but I have searched everywhere, we have searched, warriors, etc. or maybe I am just not searching at the right place."
Ava blinked her eyes in shock, "Are you insinuating that I have something to do with her disappearance?"
"Well, do you?", I asked.
"Of course I do not," Ava said angrily, "Why would I do that? I would have you know that I found someone who actually loves and appreciates me and I thought you even called me here to apologize for how you treated me even though it was not my fault, I could not help but want more."
She got up quickly to leave, but I stopped her, "I apologize, please, I meant no harm, and you can not really blame me for thinking that way."
Ava sighed and sat back down, "I know I can be a bitch at times, but I would not do anything to hurt you, you love, you made that clear, no matter how hard I did not want to believe that, I saw it in your eyes and I would never take that away from you."
She was telling the truth. You know when you just- I do not know how to explain, but I just did not feel like she was lying.
I nodded and closed my eyes, rubbing my face. A part of me wanted Ava to be at fault, so I could find Montana immediately, but now it is not her, which means I have to keep looking. I was already so stressed, I couldn't even sleep properly.
Not sure, I even will be able to, until I find Montana safe and sound.
"I have to go now though," Ava said as she reached out and touched my hand as a sign of comfort.
"Yeah, sure," I agreed with a nod.
"If I hear anything, I would let you know," She said as she gave me a small smile and got up to leave.
I got up with her and I felt like I owed her an apology even if sometimes she can be a bitch like she said, but she still had that good side in her, "I sincerely apologize for hurting you, I hope you can one day forgive me for that."
She hugged me immediately to my surprise and I hugged her back as she said, "well well Alpha Lincoln, I would never forget this day when the high and mighty or should I say King Lincoln apologized to me."
We broke the hug as I chuckled, and she smiled, "I forgive you and I hope you find her."
"Thank you Ava," I told her as I walked her to her car before going back to mine.
I sat in the car for hours, not moving or driving, just outside the restaurant. If frustration was a person, it would be me. I was frustrated, worried, not relaxed, everything.
And the worst part was there was no single clue. Like how?
I did not want to do something outrageous, but I think I need to bring back the fear. Because people might have thought I had gone soft, giving them the mind and guts to abduct my mate.
I picked up my phone and dialed a number, "Find her, I do not care who you kill, find her and bring her back to me."
When I was done with that call, I drove back to the pack, Sean already waiting for me, "Get news out there to all the Alpha's, let them know that their Queen is missing and if they have any information, they should report to me."
I informed him as he nodded, "And also…", I turned to Sean, "If there is no news about her, then things are going to get bloody, I want them to know this, I would not mind torturing anyone to find her!"
Sean looked at me a bit concerned, I think, "Thank you brother," I said to him and patted his shoulder, heading to my office afterward.
I had phone calls to make.
Seems like they have forgotten the monster within. But now, they will remember.
And they will cower!
