CHAPTER 116
MONTANA'S POV
I watched as the whole war started, Lincoln had ordered, shouting, "Shield-wall!"
As he shouted that, Lincoln's warriors aligned themselves shoulder to shoulder with their shields raised in front of them as they slightly overlapped those of their neighbors.
Each of the warriors held their shield with one hand, using it to cover their body and provide protection to themselves and the others inside. I suppose the other hand, helped their shield as it was also equipped with weapons.
"Hold," Lincoln said again.
Next thing, Luke followed suit as he rallied his warriors and shouted, "Shield-wall!"
Luke's warriors responded with a fierce howl on his command and his voice boomed again, "SPEARS", which urged his warriors to prepare their spares, pointing them forward at their opponent.
With forceful breaths, they readied themselves just as Lincoln's did too and finally, Luke issued the final command, "ATTACK!"
ALPHA LINCOLN'S POV
Just as Luke gave his command, I also gave the final command to my team, "CHARGE!"
They moved forward a bit, then he ordered, "HOLD AND EMBRACE!"
Luke's warriors screamed fiercely as they advanced, causing the ground to shake. As they reached us, spears clashed, bodies collided, shields smashed in the chaos of this battle.
Grunts here and there, "HOLD THE WALL", I screamed out as swords whirled through the air, claws, striking to kill anyone it touches.
My third in command who was besides me added his voice, grunting as we held the wall. My sword pierced the heart of those it reached.
The struggle intensified as shields clanged and there were forced thuds. Punching thuds and fighting grunts, "Arghhhh."
Blades and shields clashed, as there were also screams of pain or someone being spluttered.
Sean's voice rose above the whole fight as he screamed at me, "SOON I SHALL HAVE YOUR HEAD IN MY HAND, LINCOLN."
I gave him no reaction as he promised me death, my blade rang on Luke's warriors necks, slicing and cutting off.
Ahhhggghhhh, grunts! Screams! Nghhhh Agggghhhhhh.
I also noticed that Luke had not decided to use Montana, as we fought I kept wondering what his plan was. What was he waiting for?
It was time, "OPEN THE SHIELD WALL", I commanded as we allowed some of our enemies to breach our defense.
With a forceful and fierce clash, our enemies forced their way into the gap we opened in our shield wall.
Before they could register the threat and trap, I issued another command, "CLOSE THE GAP", which they did, making us trap some infiltrators inside.
We slaughtered the ones that fell into our gap, choking them like meat.
Unghhhhh, unnng, they struggled, fighting as weapons smashed and heads bounced off.
I gave one a hard smash on the ground, which resulted in his head getting smashed.
Struggling grunts, straining grunts, piercing them from their head, rendering them lifeless as blood splashed over my face.
I growled loudly as the fight continued.
All around me are different sounds, the sound of battle, warriors gasping for air, charging cries, sickening crunch from different parts of the body.
Weapons slicing through anything sliceable, heavy breaths, warriors yells and grunts, growls and howls, weapons clanking and slicing, bloodshed.
"You!", I growled, catching one of my enemies, giving him hard blows until his nose disappeared into his face.
My eyes flashed as I growled out, "ON YOUR KNEES", my warriors who knew what I meant while the others were still holding the shield wall even if it was a bit struggling, went on their knees.
"ARCHERSSSSS!", I ordered, and my Archers climbed the back of my warriors on their knees, being up high, they were able to take out some of our enemy warriors.
Men yelled and screamed, but I did not see it coming when one loose enemy who had managed to find his way past our shield sliced my arm.
"Arghhhhh", he screamed as he was going straight for my heart.
I dodged his sword with my bleeding arm, used my other hand to hit the sword out of his, my eyes glowing. Before he knew it, I grabbed him from the back, my teeth elongated as I bit down on his neck and dragged out whatever I could.
I growled once more as the body fell to the ground.
I was seeing Sean, and furthermore, he was looking at me as he slaughtered the warriors he once fought with, "Is this what you really want, Sean?", I asked him as we finally left the whole shield place and now in an open space, facing each other.
Two other of my warriors behind me.
I could still hear men breathing, threatened grunts and screams as weapons clashed around and spears clattered.
Well through my surprise as I waited for Sean's answer and for him to charge at me as he was all bloody like I am, he threw his sword at my feet and fell to his knees, "I cannot kill you," he said as he yielded.
I knew I did not have it in me to kill him, he was literally the only brother I had, even if it was not by blood. I walked up to him and, with the head of my sword, knocked him off.
"Take him away," I told the other warriors with me, "You know where to keep him."
They nodded and dragged his body out. He will face punishment as he deserves when this is all over. That is if we win and by the looks of it, we are holding things strongly.
But not so strongly, as a blast of strong ice, hit us all. Sending me flying and heading my head on a stone.
I groaned and winced, moving my hand to my head, I touched the spread where I hit on the stone, and brought it to my face. My hand was stained with blood, I grunted, "Fuck! That hurts."
MONTANA'S POV
"Well that was disappointing, he really does not have what it takes to be powerful, he deserves to remain in Lincoln's shadow," Luke said as he watched Sean submit to Lincoln.
"You are the one who corrupted him more, you manipulative bastard," I said to Luke, "You will get what's coming for you soon, you won't be able to manipulate yourself into not dying."
"They are the ones who are getting a taste of your sweet powers, it's about time", he smiled as he stood at my back and placed his hands on my shoulders.
"NO, NO!"I tried to move away, fear gripping me. It was not my intention to hurt my people, I tried resisting, but I could fill it building up in me, my hands forming to make ice.
It got more painful to resist.
Luke leaned down, close to my ears, and whispered, "Now let's freeze them out."
