CHAPTER 118
MONTANA'S POV
I turned around and was immediately engulfed in a tight hug. I immediately hugged him back, I could already tell from his scent. Goddess, how I missed this!
I felt and watched his hands tremble as he pulled away from the hug, checking for any injuries, his touch was so gentle and urgent.
I could see the pain in his eyes and tiredness, it brought tears to my eyes, "Are you hurt?", he whispered, his voice choking with emotion.
I shook my head, tears falling from my face as I clung to him. Leaning in, he pressed a tender kiss to my forehead, I could tell how relieved he was and so was I.
Our little moment was interrupted when something slashed my cheeks and Lincoln pushed me out of the way.
The knife fell to the ground and because he pushed me out, it was only able to slash my cheeks a bit.
I turned to the direction of where the knife came from to see Lola glaring at me.
That is why the war was still on. Their king was dead, they should have surrendered by now, but it looks like Lola had decided to continue.
"I will handle her," I said to Lincoln, and he nodded before leaving to fight.
As my eyes glowed, the slash on my face was already healed, and I walked towards her. Lola had a sword, and so I found a dead body with a sword pierced into it, pulled out the sword.
"I will give you a chance to submit," I said to Lola while playing with the sword a bit. A little warming up as I stared at her with raiser brows.
"Not in this lifetime," She said.
I nodded in understanding, "As you wish, then."
Lola wasted no time in attacking, and I already knew where she would come from with the way she ran towards me. I sidestepped and dodged her.
She turned around facing me, her face with so much hate, "Why do you hate me?", I had to ask, I did this girl nothing, except try to love her and be her sibling.
"You deserve to be hated, I just hate every single thing about you, you get everything you want, even after everything that was done to make you nothing which is your place, you turned out to be this!", Lola addressed with a disgusting look on her face, "I won't sit down and do nothing about it."
She charged at me once more, and I dodged again, chuckling, "So it is Jealousy that has turned you this way?"
"Jealousy is not the word, I have nothing to be Jealous of from you. The only thing is you should remember your place, that you are nothing and that is what you will always be, NOTHING, MONTANA", this time around she screamed my name as she rushed towards me.
Quickly, as she swung her sword, I knelt down, sliding and dodging it. Her sword went over my head and my sword went for her stomach, slicing it.
Now I was on the other side on my knees from my slide, my back turned against Lola, which I supposed was bleeding from the deep cut.
I got up, turned around as she struggled with her steps and let my sword go into her through her back before I pulled out as she dropped to the ground with a thud.
I used my leg and pushed her from the side, making Lola face the sky.
Blood pooled from her mouth as she struggled to speak.
"Things would have been better, now you will die as nothing," I said to her, leaving her to suffer, while she choked on her blood.
I did not even realize when our back-ups had come. The people that my Aunt told me will join us to fight. They fought with Lincoln and we were winning.
"YOUR ALPHA AND LUNA ARE DEAD," I shouted, my voice booming, loud enough for them to hear me, "SURRENDER!"
Luke's warriors were surrounded, they definitely would not stand the chance at winning. They started throwing their swords away.
"We are superior to all packs and today these men have decided to fight with the intention of killing their King and Queen," Lincoln stated, loud enough for everyone to hear.
"If you still want to fight until death, pick up your sword and fight, but if you would like to be part of my people, my warriors, yield," Lincoln said to them. He was offering them mercy.
I walked up and stood my Lincoln, agreeing with giving Mercy to the warriors, they might have families too and deserve a chance to redeem themselves.
One of the warriors went on his knees, "Hail our King and Queen!"
A second one followed, "Hail our King and Queen!"
A third one followed, saying, "Hail our King and Queen!"
Soon, each of them dropped to their knees, chanting, "Hail our King and Queen!"
"The war is over, Rise!", Lincoln commanded as they did.
He gave them an icy stare, "Do not make me regret this show of mercy!"
"Hail our King and Queen!", They started chanting again and again.
"As you all know, we will take over your packs so now you are part of my Kingdom, my warriors, and healers will attend to your injuries," I said to them, urging them to get themselves relaxed.
I turned to Lincoln and noticed the cut on his arm through his warrior clothing. I opened it to see a deep cut. He was healing a bit slow, he needed treatment, "You need to see a healer too."
"I am fine", he turned around and smiled at me, cupping my cheeks.
The glare I gave him was enough for him to put his hands up in surrender, "Fine I will."
"You will now!", I told him, taking his hands in mine and pulling him towards where a healer was, with some of our doctors, "Treat the king."
They nodded as Lincoln sat down on a chair and they got to work. I was about to ask about my kids, even go and find them when I heard those sweet voices.
