“Alpha, we are in the pack hospital. You can continue what you're about to do with her once you get discharged from here. You didn't even lock the door, and what will happen if it's the pack doctor who came here?” Uriel tried to hide the pain from his heart. However, Veronica didn't see him as he lover especially when Jaxon was her mate. He only wished that she would be happy with him even though he knew that he would be sad in the end.
His wolf wanted her so badly. She was the one that his wolf had been trusted. He might be heartbroken but he only wanted to witness that Veronica would be finally happy even though it's not him.
Veronica blushed and checked. Uriel was telling her the truth that the door wasn't locked. She didn't even know how could she face Uriel after what happened.
In the end, Veronica ended up returning to the pack house because she needed to manage her schedules and sign some papers. Uriel stayed in the pack hospital especially since Jaxon was checked by the doctor.
“Are you still investigating Morgan? I want to know what he looks like.” Jaxon coldly said that made Uriel finally go back to his senses.
“I have the lead but I needed to make sure that my speculation is right. Alpha, you don't need to think about him because I will do anything to find him. Aside from that, you aren't allowed to stress yourself. It might be difficult for you to do that because I know that you've been curious what Morgan looks like but he needs you once we all find him.” Uriel stated that made Jaxon nod slowly.
“I only wanted to make sure. It's questionable for me that your investigation still hasn't improved. You might be my Beta for a reason but I didn't see it.” Jaxon finally let out his mockery making Uriel try to hide that he was humiliated.
“I want to get the results so fast. As the Beta, you must have the ability to investigate everything so fast. I don't think that I'm not capable of choosing my Beta wisely.”
“I'm sorry if the investigation is slower than I expected, Alpha. Aside from that investigation, I've been trying to check if it's the Alpha King who took Morgan. I'm worried about him, too.”
Jaxon nodded. He was displeased. He would make sure that Morgan would be found within a month. Ava had a lead investigation and it was the Alpha King who took Morgan away from them.
“What makes you think it's the Alpha King? Is he one of my enemies?” He asked. He wanted to see if Uriel would tell the truth or not.
“Alpha Jaxon, you are known as the heartless Alpha. They said that you are the future Alpha King, you are his favorite but you're his enemy too. He's the father of Helene.” Uriel sighed. He was stressed about everything. He was thinking about his father too but it won't change the fact that he must need to do what was right.
“You're power increased worldwide. The Alpha King isn't pleased to know about it especially since you aren't mated with his daughter. At first, he liked it because you have a past relationship with Helene but when Veronica came, he changed. He even asked you to marry Helene, in return, you will be the Alpha King of the world.” Uriel added.
“It seems that you're telling me the truth but why do you keep lying to me when I ask you if you have a lead? Did you already know who took Morgan away from us?” Jaxon interrogated that made Uriel swallow, and hide what he might be thinking.
