“Uriel, do you want me to repeat my questions?” Jaxon angrily said when Uriel wasn't responding. When he was acting way, it made him think that he finally knew who kidnapped Morgan but he didn't want to be honest with him.
He clenched his jaw and growled in anger which made Uriel look away. He seemed displeased when he realized that his troops were telling him the truth when they mentioned that Uriel was gone from the moment that Morgan got kidnapped.
He missed his son so much. He slowly realized that he was stupid for not taking care of him.
All he did was to fight with others pack and make sure that he would be the known Alpha but it turned out that he lost for being his father.
Morgan was such an adorable kid in his eyes but he was cold and distant for he was scared that Morgan might experience what he had endured alone after his parents got killed. He blamed himself for choosing Helene at that time. He never thought that he wouldn't see his parents after he tried to elope with Helene.
“Answer me, damn it!” he growled. His canines were exposed which made Uriel gulped. Slowly, Uriel's expression changed which made him stopped from getting mad.
“All my life, I did everything to be your trusted Beta.” Uriel started. Jaxon swallowed. His eyes were bloodshot when he had heard those words.
“I did everything that I needed to do because I didn't want to disappoint you but it changed when you got her pregnant. She's the woman that I love the most. She's the only woman who I promised to that's why I did everything so she will be proud once she finally sees me again.”
“At the party, it's me who spiked your drink. You ended up sleeping with her, did you even know how I prevent myself from being crazy about what happened? I blamed myself that I'm the reason why she's with you especially when you treated her badly. I can especially treat her. She's my princess, my future wife. I even rejected my mate just to have her.”
“Yeah, I already know who kidnapped Morgan. I didn't want to tell you that it's not the right day to let you know about it.” Uriel added that made him speechless. Uriel had admitted that he was in love with Veronica, and he couldn't accept it.
“Are you trying to tell me that you're in love with my mate that's why you take Morgan away in my pack.” His tone was icy, and brutal which made Uriel shake his head. He seemed not to fear that Jaxon might hurt him.
“I'm only saying to you what I feel because Veronica is the reason why I'm trying my best to do the right things. I'm upset and jealous of you. I did everything to make sure that she will safe but it's you who got her from my hands. She's the only reason why I'm not betraying you.” Uriel answered which made him stunned for a moment. He couldn't accept that Uriel had confessed what he truly felt for Veronica.
“I'm the one who hid Morgan. The Alpha King ordered my father that we must need to kill him. That day, I made sure that no one would ever see him again. I didn't want to kill him because he was too innocent. Morgan and I are closed.” Uriel muttered which made him stunned for a moment. He didn't know what he would say to him when Uriel continued, ”He's safe in my place. I'm only trying to get the right time to make sure that he will end up fine while he's with me. While I'm working here, I'm helping him, too. I'm thankful that Morgan has trusted me and that he didn't ask me some questions.”
“It is Morgan who has a trust with you but it wouldn't change the fact that you betrayed me.” Jaxon sneered making Uriel stop what he might be saying.
Uriel hardly breathes. He couldn't believe that Jaxon was trying to get mad at him. He did something wrong he was sure of it.
“Where is my son, Uriel? I want to see that he's fine. Did you even know that Veronica is searching for him? She almost died when Morgan was missing.”
“You are the reason why she decided to jump from the cliff it's because of your unfaithful cock.” Uriel was trying to tease him which made him growled at him. Uriel cleared his throat which made him focus on him again. He continued, ”He's with me in my other house. I assigned someone who will take care of him. I didn't have the boldness to kill him that's why while he was with me I did everything to teach him.”
Jaxon didn't say anything that made him say again, “I can bring him here. Morgan isn't getting younger but he's advanced. He inherited Veronica's cleverness.”
He moaned in anger but he didn't even comment because he was sure that Uriel had been telling the truth. He needed Uriel's help to remove the Lycan King from his part. Not because of the throne but because of the safety of his mate and pup.

“I'm exhausted for everything. I know that you are only working for us but I'm the one who ended up as your children. I want to do the right thing.”
”What are you talking about? If you tell everything to Jaxon, he might end up hurting you. Do you want to be stabbed by him? That child is lucky that we didn't have to do something to finally see him.”
