“What did you fucking say? Are you crazy? Did you even know how powerful the Alpha King is? Do you still remember how he killed your grandfather that day?” Uriel's father yelled in anger when he heard that Uriel wanted to inform Jaxon where Morgan was.
He gritted his teeth in annoyance before he slapped Uriel on his cheek that made Uriel try his best not to fall. He was used to how his father had treated him especially when his father always got treated bad by the Alpha King. He groaned when his father gave him another slaps again that made him taster the metallic liquid from his lips.
“He will kill you if he finds out that we lied. I give you the chance to kill the child but instead of killing him, you even take care of him. You are such a useless child!” He added.
Uriel groaned when his father angrily stepped his foot but he didn't even dare to fight back even though he could easily win against him. He still respected his father despite the fact that he always mistreated him.
His father was known as the traitor in Veronica's pack. His father was loyal to the Alpha King when he met Veronica's father, and he let them stayed in their pack. However, they find found out that were working with the Alpha King and claimed that they were traitors. Uriel had the chance to feel how it was to be treated fairly because of Veronica.
“Is this about Veronica again? I heard that she's an exclusive slut of Alpha Jaxon. Didn't I tell you that she's not as innocent as you think? It's better if you will do anything to make Helene fall for you!”
”I don't like her. I wanted to do the right thing because my conscience kept bothering me. Morgan isn't getting younger, and he missed his family!”
”You're empathy will be your greatest downfall. I told you that you need to stop using your heart, and use your brain instead!”
“He's a child. You don't know how it feels when someone didn't want to be with you because my father is the known traitor. Did you get you even know how I feels when I witnessed how my grandfather died because of you? Please, let's do the right thing!”
His father scoffed and looked at him with disappointment. He groaned when his father acted that he was displeased about what he had said. He couldn't believe that his father acted as heartless as ever.
“We are talking about Morgan kid. Why are you always bringing about yourself? Uriel, you grew up well, and I'm proud that you finally know what is right or wrong. It seems easy to fight with the Alpha King but we both know that we aren't powerful to fight with him! We did in the past but now, I don't want to do it because he might killed you!”
Uriel didn't say but turned his back to his father. He didn't like how his father acted like a coward. He wished that he had the power to fight with the Alpha King.
Jaxon was watching him thinking about what he had talked with his father. He hardly breathed. He didn't have a choice but to inform Jaxon that he was the one who kidnapped him.
“What did you do to my son?” Jaxon snarled, and angry raised his hands. Uriel closed his eyes trying to accept his fate when Jaxon didn't do anything to harm him. “Uriel, tell me about him. He's waiting for me.”
He coughed when he felt bad that he needed to kidnap Morgan. Even though he did that, he made sure that Morgan would be fine.
“Morgan is aware about my plans. I ask for his cooperation. He wants to help me.” Uriel answered that made him remember how Morgan found out about his plans.
Flashback,
When his father found out that he wasn't with Alpha Jaxon, he didn't even realized his plans. He decided to meet with his father while Jaxon was away.
“The Alpha King wants you to take Morgan away from here. He needs to be killed because Jaxon's power is risen even more.” His father whispered to him. He made sure that he was the only one who would hear what he had been planning.
Uriel widened his eyes in disbelief. He couldn't believe what his father had mentioned. Why did he needed to kill Morgan? He was close to him!
“What are you talking about? Morgan, Veronica's child?” he asked trying to hold his nervousness when he spoke. He looked around to see if there was someone who might see him talking with his father.
“He's a sacrifice. It's better if he gets killed and that's what the Alpha King wants you to do. He wants you to kill him while Alpha Jaxon and his mate are away. Helene needs to break their relationship even more. He wanted Alpha Jaxon as his son-in-law.”
He was speechless. He wanted to say something when his father continued that he needed to do it to make sure that the Alpha King wouldn't do anything bad on him.
“Kill him. Jaxon needs to learn that he can't have all of what he wants.” His father added that made him speechless. His hands turned into a fist. He tried to calm himself from exploding in anger.
“Morgan...” he called the young child. He grinned when Morgan was startled in surprise because of him. “What are you thinking about? Did you miss them staying in our pack?”
“I missed my Mama.” Morgan replied. He was only looking at him as if he was trying to hide what he might be thinking.
”Your Mother will missed you, too. Morgan, do you want to play with me.”
”Uriel, I know that you need to kill me. I heard you talking with another guest that you need to kidnapped me. Take me away, and I will make sure that she will understand why I needed to do this.” Morgan whispered that made his eyes widened in surprised.
