Chapter Helene And Uriel (2)

“What are you doing here?” Morgan bluntly asked him, which made Uriel widen his eyes in disbelief. He couldn't believe he had heard how Morgan tried to act like he was the one who was older than Jaxon.

Jaxon frowned and tried his best not to correct him because he knew Morgan was only challenging him. He glanced at Morgan. “I have a meeting with Alpha Gerry here. I only came here for our agreement. He’s one of our allies.”

“Your ally, it’s your pack, not mine!”

“Whether you like it or not, you will inherit my pack, so stop being a brat!”

“It’s you who like to control things! I don’t want to be controlled by you!”

Morgan growled. He was about to walk when he paused and added, “Where is Mom? Perhaps he’s not with you now. If I were her, I would leave you, too.”

Jaxon’s face was stoic. He knew Morgan was only trying to hurt his feelings. However, he wasn’t successful. Hearing those words made him realize how much he resented his only child. Morgan had the same face as him, and unfortunately, he even inherited his attitude. He hoped that his other child might get Veronica’s attitude better than him.

He was hoping he would be back with Veronica, so he was planning everything ahead.

“Morgan, don’t talk to your father that way. He changed. Do you even know he lost his memories?” Uriel was trying to play with his emotions, which led Morgan to frown at him. He shook his head.

“I don't want to leave this pack if my mother is not there yet. I want to stay here for now…” He whispered. He was trying to have a deal with Jaxon, especially when he met Selene. Eugene would do anything to get back at Selene because he could blame them for what happened to their pack.

Jaxon didn't say anything. He calculated everything because he was sure that Morgan had other reasons why he wanted to stay in Alpha Gerry's pack.

“Alpha Jaxon, are you available to talk? I have a few meetings after our meeting.” Alpha Gerry was hesitant. Jaxon nodded and walked towards him without looking at Morgan. He was in deep thought.

“Morgan,” It was Selene. The moment that Jaxon heard Selene call his son, he looked in their direction instantly. He frowned when he noticed how Morgan had a strange expression. When he was looking at Selene, he seemed like he was the only woman he had ever seen.

“Are you going to leave the pack? I'm sorry if I don't defend you more when Eugene…”

“Shut up. I don't want to hear your excuses!” Morgan arrogantly shrieked. Selene widened her eyes in disbelief. She couldn't believe that Morgan had acted that way toward her!

“Hey! I'm trying to be nice here!”

“As if I care.”

“Morgan…” It was Solene. His expression changed instantly.

Jaxon sighed. He had finally realized why Morgan only wanted to stay in Alpha Gerry's pack. He wanted Morgan to know he would support him and be his lovable father.

“Morgan is getting old. It's better if you have another baby, Alpha.” Uriel whispered, which made him grit his teeth. He wanted to have a big family, especially since he was an only child.

“I'm not asking you, Uriel. Who permits you to talk to me—”

“We have known each other for so long. I know how you long for your family. There's nothing wrong if you admit it. Maybe you need to learn how to be vocal about your feelings so Veronica will see that you have good intentions.”

Jaxon was astonished. Uriel had a point, but his pride was stopping him. He sighed heavily before he uttered, “Yeah, right. Maybe I need to be honest with my feelings.”

After the meeting, Jaxon left Morgan in Alpha Gerry's pack. They only decided to have a deal that he wouldn't ever try to run away because he was still working to get Veronica.

As soon as he entered his pack, it was Helene who greeted him. Uriel paused. He didn't know that Helene would go to Jaxon's pack without his notice.

Jaxon scowled. He disliked seeing Helene in his pack, but he didn't have a choice.

“What's wrong? Why are you here?” Jaxon asked arrogantly.

Helene flipped her hair and placed the food that she had cooked. The truth was, she only visited Uriel. She missed him badly, especially his sexual performance.

“N-Nothing. Is it wrong if I cook for you?” Helene stammered. She thought that Jaxon would be out for days and that Uriel was the one who would stay in the pack. She gulped when Uriel gave her a death stare. Seeing how Uriel seemed mad made her think he wanted to have sex with her.

“You cook something for me? You know I dislike spicy food. It's Uriel who wants it.” Jaxon couldn't stop himself from broadcasting what he thought. He scoffed and smirked at Uriel.

“N-No! I think you like to eat something spicy." Helene was in panic. She forgot that it was Uriel who liked to eat some spicy food. How could she ever forget about that part?

“It's fine. You don't need to worry because Jaxon already knows…” Uriel finally had the courage to speak. Jaxon grinned, which made Helene pause and be stunned.

“W-What?” Helene asked in disbelief. Jaxon dilated his eyes and tapped Uriel's shoulder.

“I will leave you two. I don't like to hear noises. Do it in your room!” He muttered when he left them alone. Helene was astounded. She couldn't understand how Jaxon already knew about her relationship with Uriel.

They might not have a romantic relationship, but the sexual tension they felt for each other was more prominent. She watched Jaxon go to the stairs while her mouth hung open.

“Uriel, how? I thought you didn't like him?”

“I realized I'm the bad one. I don't want to force Veronica to love me. Don't worry, he doesn't think we have a romantic relationship.”

“That's not what I mean.”

“I'm famished.” Uriel went closer to her, and checked what she had cooked. Uriel remembered that she went to Alpha Gerry. He coughed. “I went to Alpha Gerry.”

“Oh, what's new?”

“Well they are beautiful.”

Helene avoided her eyes on Uriel. She didn't want Uriel to see her emotions. She forgot about them. She gasped.

“Helene, they need us.” Uriel whispered. She gulped.

She did everything to forget what happened to them. The truth was, when she ran away from Jaxon, she was already having a sexual affair with Uriel. She got pregnant, that led her to meet Alpha Gerry. She left her twin daughter to him. Alpha Gerry informed Uriel about what happened, and since the Alpha King was threatening them, they decided to hide everything.

Selene and Solene became the Alpha's daughters. What made her blame herself was that Solene ended up with a sickness. She didn't have a face to see them or introduce herself as their mother.

“Uriel, they are happy now with Alpha Gerry. Don't you think they will not get angry with us once they find out that their mother decided to leave them?”

“You only do that because you know the Alpha King will kill them. You only do that to protect them.” Uriel held her shoulder, which exposed how vulnerable she was. Her tears formed and slowly flowed down her cheeks.

She was even more miserable. She was hurt deep inside. She endured what her father had done to her so he wouldn't think that she had secrets she had to remove from her life.

“Solene needs us. She's sick.” Uriel mumbled. He hugged her, closed her eyes, and listened to his heartbeat.

“I know…” She paused. The truth was, she visited Alpha Gerry's pack and bumped into Solene. “They are both beautiful. She told me she's sick. That's why she's hoping to see her mother.”

She swallowed hard when she felt that there was a lump in her throat. She closed her eyes, trying to hide how painful she felt. Solene was such a kind daughter, and she couldn't believe she had her.

“Selene looks like her, but she's the fighter. I know them.”

Uriel sighed. He was hoping to be with his daughters too, but he knew that once his father discovered what he had done, the Alpha King would know everything. They might use them to control them more.
