Chapter It's your parents who killed them

“Amoux,” Leah called his name after he saw the food that he prepared for her. She wanted to laugh at him but when she saw a small burn on his hand, she quickly stopped herself from laughing. She knew that Amoux couldn't cook because he was the successor of the Nightwalker. He grew up with a golden spoon in his mouth and seeing him like this made her heart soften. It's a plus that she heard what Amoux had answered to his father.

“You don't need to do this. There's a cook in my pack, so you don't need to make an effort like this.” She tried to be more casual with him. She glanced at the food that he prepared for her. It looks like a coil.

“B-But–” Amoux didn't finish his word. He felt weak and embarrassed in front of her. His shoulder fell, and the confidence that he built was wrecked.

“I don't understand why you're doing this. We have a cook, but you wanted to do something difficult. Aside from that, I know how to cook, have you forgotten that?” Leah angrily told him. She was mad because of Amoux doing, he had a lot of wounds. Though werewolves had a healing ability with the help of their wolf, she couldn't stop herself from feeling worried about him.

Almera's eyes widened in disbelief, she couldn't believe that instead of appreciating what Amoux did, Leah nagged him for preparing the meals. She moved her eyes and didn't look at Amoux, which was a pitied expression.

“I'm sorry, I forgot that you can cook. I think that I should cook for you so the baby can accept me.” Amoux bit his lips, lowered his head, and turned his back to Leah. He was hurt, and sad at the same time.

He just wanted to cook for her, and if Leah thought that he would stop doing that, he promised that he wouldn't. He walked toward the room that he occupied without even saying anything.

Leah blinked, and she felt her heart ache for what she did to him. She felt guilty for being too hard on Amoux. She never thought that he was doing it because of the baby.

“I can't believe that you treated your mate like that.” Almera disappointedly uttered. She sighed and glanced at Leah who had a guilty expression when she realized everything.

“I think he will stop doing this. It's your fault though.” Almera added.

“Then, if he stops it does mean that his intention isn't good. Okay, I feel guilty but it didn't change the fact that he treated me more like that.” Leah felt afraid that Amoux would stop pursuing her but she quickly removed it because she realized that if Amoux stopped, it meant he didn't love her enough. She didn't like to be with someone, who couldn't fight for her in the end.

He broke her trust multiple times, so she had a right to act like that in front of her. If Amoux doesn't want her anymore, then he's free to leave her pack.

“Argh, You know how I hated your mate but seeing him like a child who was nagged by his mother made me want to comfort him.” Almera pouted and touched her belly. She was hoping that her future pup wasn't stubborn.

“If you want to comfort him, then suck his dick, Almera.” Leah sarcastically suggested which made Almera laugh too hard.

“Come on, Alpha, you shouldn't be jealous of me because he's not even my type. Aside from that, Kairo always does everything that I want. He always made me feel like cum several times in one position.” Almera grinned when she noticed that Leah's eyes expanded after hearing her words.

“Don't be jealous of me because you haven't experienced sex for so long. If I were you, I would take advantage of your situation, why don't you treat him like your sex slave, that's cool!” Almera added. Almera was like a bad influence on her, she admitted that missed doing that thing with Amoux especially since her hormones changed but it was Amoux, who didn't want to do it without the baby's confirmation.

She felt irritated and felt slightly envious that Almera was too happy with her mate. She's the only one who didn't have a happy relationship, and lack of sex!

“Stop whispering. Are you evil, Almera?” Leah rolled her eyes. She clenched her fist in frustration. If Amoux didn't want to do that thing with her, then she would push him until he willingly did that to her.

“I'm not evil. I'm thinking about you, and your cunt, Alpha.” Almera jokes. She chuckled which made Leah glare at her even more.

“I can't believe that I asked you to be my Beta.”

“Well, even though I'm being like this. I'm more loyal to you, no, I'm faithful to serve you. I remembered that I told you that I wouldn't support you anymore once you accept Amoux, I changed my mind because of the baby. I don't want to be an antagonist to your baby's family.” Leah tried to stop her smile and started walking. Almera shook her head, she saw that she was smiling.

‘Argh, this bitch, why did she need to act cool even though it's not!’ Almera complained. She followed Leah immediately, and she stopped when Leah stopped Adam.

Adam was with Lycan Hector. Adam was expressionless when he was with the Lycan. He was shocked when he saw Lycan lingering around in their pack, that's why he moved closer to him.

“You're doubting me but you know that I'm telling you the truth, right?” The Lycan said. His expression was more severe than usual. Deep inside of him, he felt bad for what Adam had told him.

“What makes you think that I'll know if you're telling me the truth? How dare you went here after you killed–”

“I didn't kill them. It's not me, and J knows that you found out who was the killer, right?” The Lycan stepped back when he saw the madness in Adam's eyes.

“Maybe, you did something in your memory. You're the mastermind of my parent's death!”

“I'm not the one who did that.” The Lycan defended himself. He glanced at Leah like he was asking for her help with her cousin.

“YOU ARE THE KILLER OF MY PARENTS!” Adam growled so loud like a lion who wanted to scare his prey. His eyes glowed and his canines showed. His vein popped out on his neck. He was breathing heavily as if he was trying to calm his wolf.

“Adam!” Karen shouted in fear, she ran towards Adam, who took a look at her. Adam howled in anger as he ran outside the pack. He immediately shifts to his wolf form.

“Adam!” Leah shouted. She was about to follow him when the Lycan grabbed her. The Lycan shook his head and slowly bowed.

“What is happening? I don't understand what's going on.” Leah removed Lycan's hand.

“He claimed that I killed his parents, but I'm not the one who killed them. He found out the truth because of his ability.” Leah's mouth hung open. She didn't know that the Lycan knew that Adam could see the memories of other werewolves.

“If you're not the killer, who's the true murderer?”

“It's Anaya's mother. It's about being led by a group of healers. I know you know that the Vuk family was their true leader, right? Richelle's family was the mortal enemy of the Vuk family when it comes to leadership.”

“You told me that she's the killer of Richelle, too.” Leah felt furious because of what she found out. She was so angry that she was hoping that Anaya's mother was with her so she could slap her face.

“Yeah, she killed them because she wanted to be the leader of the healer which was happening to her. She got the throne after she killed Richelle.” Lycan breathes out. Leah decided to follow her cousin when she saw Karen running where Adam went to.

She felt sorry for Adam. Since the moment that his parents died, all he thought was that Lycan Hector is the killer of his parents. He loathed him too much. She heard a loud howl and she heeds where the howl is coming from.

When she went to the middle part of the forest. She was about to move closer to her cousin when she saw Karen walking towards him.

“Adam, I am here.” Karen's voice cracked. She felt sad because her mate was unhappy, and the scary part is it looks like Adam found out the truth.

Adam gazed at her emotionless. There was a small tear on his cheek, and his eyes were bloodshot.

“You know everything, right? You're aware of what they did to my family but you shut your freaking mouth!” Karen flinched when she heard his shout. It's her first time experiencing Adam yelling at her.

She touched her belly, and she felt scared that because of her parents, she would lose Adam in the end.

“Tell me, Karen. Tell me everything. I trust you! But you didn't trust me enough! I know you know what they did to my family.” Leah almost couldn't breathe. She suddenly regrets eavesdropping on Adam and Karen's conversation. But, there was a part of her, who wanted to know the truth. She needs to know everything.

“Adam, if I can choose who will be my parents, I will change it. Please, don't get mad at me.” Karen's voice stuttered. She tried to grab him but he dodge her hold.

“If you can, right? Unfortunately, you can't change the fact that it's your mother who killed my parents. You didn't even tell me that you're her daughter!” Adam blurted out. He grabbed his hair, and he thought he would be going crazy because of what he found out.

“I trust you, but you didn't trust me enough. Why did you hide everything from me?”

“Because I know that you wouldn't accept me as your mate. And I didn't know everything from the very beginning. I just heard it from my father.” Karen started to sob, as she felt her heart crash because of what Adam was doing to him. Even though her parents did that, she wasn't the one to blame. Her parent's sins were not her sins too.

“You lied to me. Did you think that I would easily believe you?” Adam shook his head before he glared at her which made her taken aback.

“Did you know that I can see someone's memories? I know that you're hiding from me but I tried to understand you. I give you a lot of chances to explain your side but you choose to be deaf.” Adam was full of disappointment on his face. He didn't know what he should do next after what he found out. He realized why Karen didn't want him to meet her parents but because of who her parents were.

“I don't even know that you had this kind of ability. I just knew how to hide my memories, and why I hide everything from you. Adam, I don't understand why you're mad at me. I'm not the one who killed your parents.” Leah was astounded by what she heard. What did they talk about? She wanted to know the truth! She realized that she didn't know who Karen was from the very start.

“But, it's your parents who killed them. It's your sister who wanted to kill my cousin. Maybe, you wanted to kill me, too!” Adam didn't think twice to tell what he thinks.

“Shut up, you don't even know everything.” Karen moaned so loudly in pain, at that time Leah went out to the place where she was trying to hide.

“K-Karen, you are Anaya's sister? So it means you're one of those wolves who wanted to kill me through a disease.” Leah felt her heart ache even more.
