36. The Battle Between Two Trios [2]
Kaita created a prominent cut on Revena’s face, Revena leaped backwards to dodge the rest of her attacks but the deed had already been done because she underestimated her foe, her priceless face had been scarred. Alongside Asmaroth, Revena was known as the timeless beauty of the Gods.
Her ice-cold demeanor, light blue dim pupils, and blue frosty hair that flowed down her near perfect backside.
All these characteristics were simply befitting of her title: The Frost Empirum Goddess. She always confined herself to her snow realm within the ice castle that she built to separate herself from trivialities such as love and unnecessary conversations.
That was the case until she came across Kaimaroth and Nina, they brought her out of isolation and showed her the wonders beyond the walls of her ice castle. They soon became the best of friends which led to the formation of the Morian Goddess trio. They were hailed for their impeccable teamwork.
Kaimaroth and Nina knew all too well that nothing got Revena more angry than taking damage to her face.
"Shit! That cat is fucked now" Nina sensed a sudden burst in Revena’s spirit energy all the way from the attack squadron base of operations. It was sunny but the air was freezing cold, a bizarre and unforeseen blizzard encompassed the space around the dominion’s front gate.
"How dare you....." Revena held the slight cut on her face, gusts of icy wind blew from behind her. "How dare you dent my timeless face" she exclaimed angrily, the icy wind blew harder, throwing Kaita off balance, she immediately grabbed the wall of the gate so she wouldn’t land on the floor.
Kaimaroth smiled mildly "she hasn’t changed a bit" she muttered to herself. Dark muck hands attacked, Senita grimaced "shouldn’t you be paying more attention" she asked uninterestedly, she tilted her head slightly to the side "Kaita don’t tell me you are scared of a little cold" her dead gaze peered into Kaita’s soul.
"Ycckkk, can’t they just give this poor Neko a break" Kaita cried inwardly, she flipped herself upwards landing atop the wall "Feline dash" she streaked towards the maddened Revena with such speed that it made her entire body look blurry, Revena attacked indiscriminately with ice pillars but Kaita kept on forcefully breaking through them.
She appeared above Revena claws wide open "Nekomata pou--" before Kaita could attack her, Revena froze her in position mid air "timeless ice age"
Crack Kaita broke free, she twisted her limbs lunging downwards at Revena.
Kaita was a member of the Nekonen clan known for their speed and enhanced physical strength. Kaita wasn’t a remarkable member of the clan, bad in training, horrible grades, a scaredy-cat who pretends to be upright.
After she was thrown out she was subjected to the harsh life on the black streets of Mistrium. She fed on dumpsters and lived off pickpocketing.
At some point she couldn’t take it anymore, just when she was about to end her life she got dragged into a summoning circle, with the help of Berry she quickly grew stronger, he equipped her with the S grade artifact Langis Tanlones. The hidden potential within her was soon brought to light.
The effect of the Langis Tanlones is simple but horrifying once the battle drags out for long.
As soon as Kaita hit atop the wall where Revena stood dust erupted blocking Revena’s line of sight, Kaita emerged from the dust her claws wide open, Revena created a shield made of ice, under normal circumstances her shield was supposed to block the attack but Kaita easily slashed through it.
Revena threw herself upwards with an ice pillar she created underneath her feet "how did she do that?" Revena thought to herself unable to believe what just unfolded before her eyes.
It was due to the effect of Langis Tanlones, the more the equipper uses the Tanlones to attack the higher the strength of the equipper’s attack. Revena made a crucial mistake dragging the battle out for too long.
Kaita appeared beside Revena with a kick that slammed Revena into the ground, she cushioned her fall with snow but Kaita wasn’t done, she turned upside down mid air shaping her body like a spear with claws pointed straight over her head, she lunged downwards with blazing speed that split the heavens.
In the very next instant she had dove into the ground spiderwebbing the very earth sending tremors throughout the battlefield that almost threw Kaimaroth and Senita off balance.
She just unleashed her most powerful technique "Neko technique, final claw:
Downfall demolition" "Hu!" she released a sigh of relief thinking she had won even though she hadn’t seen Revena’s dead body due to the thick dust that covered the battlefield.
What a stupid cat? Her low IQ limited her from thinking like a warrior, the main reason she was kicked out from her clan, she just proved that what her father said while he threw her out of the Nekonen clan was true
"Kaita you are really dumb" he said without a care in the world as he kicked his 17 year old daughter out the door.
Frankly the old man wasn’t wrong, who in their right state of mind will totally drop their guard without confirming if their opponent was dead or not. Anyways that was the end of the story of the foolish cat, Kaita.
How did she die? Well, the moment she wiped the sweat off her chin multiple ice spikes impaled her from below, Revena was really angry so she created a huge mass of spiky ice shaped as if multiple stars had merged together improperly, the impaled Kaita looked upwards, her eyes widened "huh--"
"Frosty marble"
before she could make her final statement she was crushed under the weight of at least 100,000 pounds, she wasn’t flattened into a pancake, no, no, no, she was splattered into a bloody egg omelette without a trace of her physical body except faint traces of frozen blood.
She made two crucial mistakes, one was concluding Revena was dead and the other was angering the Frost Empirum Goddess, Revena.
No entity that has angered her has lived to tell the tale. Despite being an introvert Revena is one of the most powerful Goddesses, even Entria has acknowledged her strength.
Her bustling spirit energy finally calmed down "did I over do it..."
she thought to herself "mhmhm, but I never over do it, she deserved what she got" she muttered inwardly. That is what I call self validation, what do you mean she deserved what she got, she scarred your face due to your own ignorance, geez...
"Ho, am beat maybe I should take some mint tea" she muttered, then she remembered that Kaimaroth was also locked in battle "do you need any help?" she shouted across the battlefield so her calm voice could reach Kaimaroth.
Kaimaroth continued to parry the dark muck hands with a wide grin on her face, the moment Revena saw this sight she turned backwards and lifted herself upwards with an ice pillar
"that battle maniac, am sure she can handle it" she rolled her eyes inwardly.
"Aren’t you going to ask your allies for help" Senita asked Kaimaroth with a dead tone.
Kaimaroth’s grin widened, she swung her spear forcefully unleashing a gust that destroyed all the dark muck hands in sight
"don’t need it, am tired of destroying these hands, am sure you have more tricks in store" she extended her bat like demonic wings, her dim purple eyes glowed brighter as her spirit energy erupted shaking the ground.
Senita squeezed her left arm, dark muck followed out latching onto her body, it twisted and spiraled forming body armour on her, her left hand turned into five distinct sharp claws extremely long in length, with her other hand she held a mace at least ten times her size "Corpse technique, burial 4: armour of the undead maiden" she stated boldly.
"I thought she specialised in long range attacks" Kaimaroth thought inwardly.
Senita vanished from her location
reappearing below Kaimaroth, she drove her sharp claws forward, Kaimaroth parried her attack with her spear, she leaped backwards in an attempt to create space between her and Senita but she failed.
Senita streaked forward to her front in an instant, but Kaimaroth too had her own tricks, two other arms emerged from underneath each of her arms, she now had a total of six arms each one holding a spear
"jabs of hades" she thrusted her spears forward not giving Senita a chance to come closer, Kaimaroth landed on the ground, she slid backwards using her spears to halt her movement.
Senita became relentless, she followed up with a long range attack elongating her claws to attack Kaimaroth, if it were any other amateur warrior god Senita might have gotten a clean hit in but she is up against the pride of the underworld, the Goddess of War, Kaimaroth.
Kaimaroth gripped Senita’s claws with her reinforced hand covered with mistril metal and threw her overhead slamming her into the ground, when the dust cleared Senita
was not on the floor "where is she?" Kaimaroth thought to herself.
A blow came from underneath Kaimaroth hitting her upwards.
It was Senita, she phased through the ground.
