••• Cinzel •••
“Cinzel, this is enough.” I sighed deeply when Zaniel spoke up in a croaked voice.
Looking at him unaffectedly as he was driven mad by the sense of heartbreak. It would be a matter of time when he would go insane.
“I felt more terrible when I left everything and came to you and you pointed your fucking gun at me.” I mocked him coldly.
“Please.” He whimpered.
“What?”
“You don’t love me anymore, don’t you?” He asked desperately, standing in front of me with a deeply grieved expression but I only hummed in response.
“Yeah… you are right. I tried to manipulate Prince but ended up falling for him.” I said in a faint tone, not removing my eyes from his.
My tone was soft, trying to convince him but as much of an impulsive guy he is, he is going to burst.
“You can’t be serious…” He whispered, moving back, voice slumped in immense dolor.
“I am.” I whispered. Nathaniel was right, I have to get this straight to the point or this guy will only cause hindrance in my path- What the hell I am becoming?!
"You are neglecting my love for him, huh?" He growled, coming closer.
"No. I simply don't feel anything for you now. Move on, consider it a tale of yesterday. There are plenty of other girls, find them. I have a family now." I hissed, pushing him out of my way and leaving furiously.
After throwing the reality on Zaniel's face. I went to survey our Alroy weapon making factory with Nathaniel.
"Nathaniel… I am going to tell Prince that I tried to seduce Zaniel to assassinate him, even as a lie but I did." I said, after we finished our tour.
"You should. Prince is possessive about what's his. You should clear it up." He advised.
I hummed and since I had countless questions about my Brother, I started my session of questions again.
"By the way, you are thirty. Are you married yet? Any girlfriend or lover? Am I an Aunt?" I asked from excitement to which he laughed a little.
"No, not yet. But there is a certain I made a promise with."
He smiled, holding his hand behind his back and looking up for a moment before turning back to me.
"Who?! Can I meet her? What is her name? What is that promise?" I beamed, wanting to know more about his tale.
"I don't remember. A portion of my memories is missing. But I have made a promise to those lifeless eyes. They had no feelings but I promised to save them." He told me sweetly, lowering his gaze gradually.
"Have you found them?" I asked curiously.
"I guess I have." He nodded, curling his lips upwards.
"Who?" I grinned.
"The world will know soon that I have attained my cherished possession. That what I promised is now in my grasp." He smirked darkly, much haunting than how Prince’s used to be.
"You sound possessive." I mumbled, taken aback at his display of obstinacy.
"Well, I am a Dangerous Worshiper." He smirked maliciously, shrugging his shoulders as if it was nonchalant for him.
"You sound so dangerous." I whispered, putting my hand over my chest, slightly intimidated by him.
He stopped and turned to me, holding his side and broke into a playful laugh, “Did you forget who I am, Cinzel?” He teased me.
"To this world, I am a Plague Doctor. People tremble with my name only. Dearest Sister, I am only sweet with you." He smiled, pinching my cheeks sweetly to help me relax.
"Not even to that girl too?" I asked innocently.
Vanishing his affection and converting it into dejection. He continued to smile but it converted into a sorrowful one.
"No." He replied truthfully, putting his hand in his pocket.
“Why?” I asked, mouth gaping in disbelief.
“Circumstances, Cinzel. Not everyone is blessed to have their love before them and have a happy ending.” He smiled sadly.
“Don’t say this. I am sure things will be alright one day. You will get your happy ending too.” I reassured him, placing my hand hesitantly on his shoulder.
I was scared to do it but he smiled when I reassured him by rubbing his arm. I was hesitant to fight but it didn’t feel strange.
“I pray so.” He hummed.
“Me too.” I smiled as well.
“Anyways. We are done for today. Should I drop you home?” He asked, checking the time.
"No, I am going to call Prince to pick me up on his way back… I.. uh.. I will tell him about this Zaniel ordeal then." I said, pulling away a little and taking out my phone.
“Okay. I got some work. See you later.”
Later Prince came to pick me and my elation reached its peak, rushing to his side, I kissed his cheeks.
"Hey."
"Hey, how was your day?" Prince asked sweetly. Pulling me closer.
"Fine, yours?"
"Better now." He grinned as we both laughed a little but Nathaniel came.
"Cinzel. I am leaving for Italy for a few days, I have some work. I am leaving De Villiers here if you need anything, tell him. You can trust him as much as you trust me." He informed me monotonously.
"Okay, but, how are you leaving? I thought the flights were closed." I asked in confusion.
"By our jet." He replied nonchalantly.
"We have a private jet?!" I asked in utter disbelief, receiving a smirk from Nathaniel and a sweet smile from Prince.
"Sure we do." Nathaniel chuckled.
My jaw dropped, still trying to register the fact that I own a private jet. I feel like an evil aristocratic woman who manipulates life to her allures.
"Can we see it?" I asked expectantly.
"You are saying as if you have never seen Prince's." Nathaniel laughed a little, getting after giving my head a pat as I blinked.
"You also have one?" I asked, turning to him.
"Of course I do. I have prepared my escape. I got ships, jets, all sorts of vehicles to leave in bad times. Him and others too, everyone does."
“Yeah, it’s for emergency purposes, for going underground, escaping cops or enemies. It’s extremely resourceful to have transport available at every spot.” Nathaniel continued to explain.
“Wow… learning new things everyday.”
“Oh you.”
Prince chuckled, pinching my cheek, Nathaniel narrowed his eyes but eventually he will get used to the display of affection from Prince.
"Let's go and see yours first." I beamed.
"Don't you have work?" Nathaniel scoffed but I frowned at him which made him put his hand in the air and shut his mouth.
"Okay.. Okay."
"Do you wanna tag along?" I asked happily.
"Sure." Nathaniel smirked, pleased as he gains satisfaction by ruining mine and Prince's moment.
I didn't even want to think what he would do to Prince if I wasn't here. I didn’t want to leave Prince alone in his presence, his glares towards him were scary.
"Let's go. I will give you an actual ride soon too." Prince winked, getting up, wrapping his arm around my shoulder and pulling me close.
"Why don't all three of us go for a vacation after you are done with work? You, me and Sky?" I asked sweetly, putting my hand over his.
"You have work as well and much more dangerous and tiresome than him."
Nathaniel remembered but I grinned and poked him with my index finger, "You can take care of it."
"Hey-" I giggled and waved my hand at him, taking advantage of our bond as we all left.
He is my sibling, can’t he do this much for me? Well, that was what he was doing anyway.
We were leaving, me and Prince were in our car, stopping at the red signal, an everlasting smile crept upon my lips as a reminder of true exhilaration of my life starting now.
"This smile is all I need." He smirked, tapping his fingers on the steering wheel, putting his hand over mine and kissing it.
"I love you." he whispered, giving my hand a gentle squeeze in his big and warm hands, providing instant solace to my soul.
"I love you too." I smiled back, pulling my hand away. The signal was opened as Prince picked up speed.
"Why are you driving so fast? We will get a speeding ticket." I asked but he only smirked.
"I want us to reach early." He said, not getting his words, I remained silent until we reached the airport before anyone else.
