Kaiwan massaged his forehead with his fingers as he watched the morning news, the following morning. Apparently, ninety five percent of the country's population had already taken the vaccine and were demanding for more.
"What's wrong?"
He raised his head to see Zuriña walking towards him, a concerned look on her face. Thank God, she wasn't awake when he had attempted to kiss her the previous night. It would have been awkward between them that morning.
"Today is September 28, and citizens have started to take the supplements. Most people started to become immune to turning into a vampire in just few hours. Zuriña,do you understand?"
"Of course, I do." She said as she walked out to the deck with him, following her behind.
"On October 1st. At midnight, Yiannais will turn everyone into a vampire."
"If all goes according to plan,we can catch up to Yiannais. We have arrived. Now all we need to do is locate Yiannais."
He turned to look at the island."But...how are we supposed to locate him here? We don't have any info on his location."
"Well as always, we'll find him." She replied and a text came into her phone. She slid it out of her pocket and looked down at it.
"I knew it." She muttered and Kaiwan walked closer to her.
"What's it?" He asked.
"Levi just made our work easier." She said as she turned the phone to him.
You want to see the Master. Come to this location. The message read.
"That annoying woman." He muttered and she smiled.
"Let's drop the anchor and head there immediately."
"I'll get the bikes." He said and he turned to head to the back of the ship, while she lowered the anchor.
Kaiwan brought out their bikes which they mounted before driving to the location.
"We would have been in trouble if we hadn't brought the bikes ."Kaiwan said. It had been his idea to come to the island with the bikes.
"But this Amelia island, something feels off."
"You think so too, Riña? This is really strange."
"It has become like a ghost town." She noticed as they drove past each house.
"There isn't a single trace of a resident."
"It was better that I lost Yiannais. If she fought, no one will be harmed.Now that there will be no angel of death, I just need to meet Yiannais." She said.
"No, we have to meet someone before finding Yiannais. A vampire that will risk her own life for Yiannais."
She turned to him to ask. "Who's that?"
"Levi. When Levi was human, there wasn't a lot of information about her, but she's Yiannais' secretary and lover."
"Secretary and lover? I see she has been doing quite a lot for that jerk." She said as she increased her speed.
They arrived at the location, a couple of minutes later and they were both surprised to see it was a hotel.
"We're in the right place, aren't we?" She asked.
"It's obviously here...Levi can't use her powers against you. I'm sure she knows better so she made the place advantageous to her."
"I don't know what it is yet but I'm dying to know." She said as she alighted her bike.
They arrived at the location, a couple of minutes later and they were both surprised to see it was a hotel.
"We're in the right place, aren't we?" She asked.
"It's obviously here...Levi can't use her powers against you. I'm sure she knows better so she made the place advantageous to her."
