"You wake up late?"
After I go out of my room, I saw Hector drinking coffee. I also roamed around to find the two.
"They go outside. I think they decided to go upstairs. There's a relaxation area upstairs, probably they are staying there," I nod.
We may probably go to a different province tomorrow. Although I want to stay here I am still worried that a woman may appear again somewhere. If she can do everything instantly, why doesn't she work alone?
"What happened to you yesterday? Is someone abducting you?"
After I drank a glass of water I looked at Hector who was asking that the same question like last night. Kung umiinom pa rin ako ng tubig ay sigurado akong mabibilaukan ako ng wala sa oras.
"Why do you ask?"
This hotel room looks like a living condo that's why some things are here.
"Well, hindi naman masamang magtaka di ba? Pumunta ka lang ng cr tapos ilang oras hindi ka pa din bumabalik. Akala ko nga inilubog mo na yung sarili mo sa sink. Tapos ilang kilometro pa ang layo mula dun sa resto hanggang doon sa lumang building na yun. Sabihin mo nga, may super powers ka ba?"
Napailing lamang ako sa hinaba haba ng sinabi niya. Kahit na kanino man ay wala akong balak na ipaalam kung ano ang nangyare.
"Okay then, keep it secret. Another question, what's the score between you and Rogen?"
Hindi ko na maintindihan kung talaga bang abogado itong si Hector o reporter.
Pero hindi pa man ako nakakasagot ng marinig sa labas ang pagtunog ng password sa pinto bago bumukas ito.
"Finally, you wake up! I saw a swimming pool upstairs, ate. We can stay here in a hotel, then we can swim there!"
Natameme ako bigla ng makita pang sumulyap sa akin si Roge. I don't know how to act normally. It's weird that I need to change myself for a second.
"I have a meeting with Attorney Adams today, you three can go there. If something happened, don't hesitate to tell me."
After Hector placed the coffee mug he used, he washed it and put it on the mug organizer.
"You should have breakfast first before we go there."
Tango na lamang ang naisagot ko bago pinaalalahanan si Calvin na hinay hinay lang. This is his first travel and I want him to be happy without being in pain after this.
Hector is probably an outcast and, we left him there with Calvin because of some important things he's doing.
"I don't think we should stay here. I am planning to have a trip to Boracay. That kid always asking me when we can able to go on different beaches," I said while we were waiting for the food.
"Good idea. I haven't gone. These would be the first time, I guess."
Sa totoo lang pinakikiramdaman ko pa rin siya. I still remember the kiss. Halos hindi rin ako nakatulog ng ayos dahil sa ginawa niya kagabi. He acted that nothing happened. He would probably my first kiss and last night isn't new! We did things before but knowing It has been years since the last!
"What was with that looked?"
"What?"
"Hindi naman mainit pero namumula ka."
Dahil sa mga naiisip ko ay hindi ko tuloy napansin na inihahanda na pala ang pagkain sa lamesa.
"Diet isn't good. I ordered more."
Kunot noo at napapabuntong hininga akong tumingin sa kaniya. Hindi na ako sanay kumain ng marami di tulad noon.
"Ayokong binabantayan ako sa pagkain kaya kumain ka din."
Hinati ko pa ang pagkain sa kabilang plato at inilagay sa harap niya.
I am calm and contented to have him for breakfast. As if we were still young without worrying about things.
"When are you going to share things with me? You haven't said anything yet."
"I'm not gonna say a thing."
"Does two old men know about things?"
"If yes, wala pa rin silang sasabihin sayo."
The music chilled us out even we were talking about problems.
"Who will be in charge with Calvin when we go abroad?"
Napahinto ako sa pagkain bago tinitigan siyang mabuti.
"You."
I crossed my arms while chewing my food.
"I mean the doctor and what hospital. I know you already planned everything."
"Your brother," I said after drinking some orange juice.
Dahan dahan pa akong napatingin sa kaniya upang malaman ang magiging reaksyon niya.
I seriously scanning his face because it was emotionless. He real doesn't like his brother. Ako ang nagsimula nito noon sa pagitan nilang dalawa kaya ako din ang dapat na tumapos nito ngayon.
"I need someone who can be trusted," mahina ko pang bulong bago ipinagpatuloy ang kinakain.
"You thought, you can trust him?" he sarcastically said that made my eyes turn to him.
"That's why you need to be with my brother. You said you would do practice again. Maybe this time is your time."
Nalukot lang ang mukha niya sa mga sinabi ko. Hindi na rin siya umimik hanggang matapos kameng kumain.
Pagbalik namin ng hotel room ay nakita ko pang nag aaway si Calvin at Hector sa paglalaro ng video game set.
"Looked I won earlier, and then I won again!"
"This time I won! You lose!-Hey!"
"Oh? You two already here?"
Mabilis din namin nakuha ang atensyon ng dalawa bago nagtatatakbo si Calvin patungo sa direksyon ko.
"Let's go! Let's go! Kuya! Let's go upstairs na!"
Napapailing pa ako ng mapansing medyo pawisan siya kahit naka aircon naman.
"Later. I am going to check your charts," Rogen said before heading on his room. Dalawa lang ang kwarto rito kaya magkakatabi silang tatlo sa pagtulog.
"Wipe your sweat. Sinabihan na kitang hindi ka pwedeng magpagod. Tomorrow, we will go on another trip. So, if you want to continue this, alagaan mo ang sarili mo."
I sat down on a sofa and scanned my phone while waiting for the two to finish the check-up.
"I am going to go back to Manila tomorrow."
Napatigil ako sa sariling ginagawa bago napatingin kay Hector.
"Attorney Adams needs me. Tsk, after your resignation, he always asked me the things he asked you before."
