Almano dropped Bella due to Alpha Coast request, he watched him pick him up in his arms and carried her away. When he had carried she tried as much as possible not to touch him but now that she was in Coast’s arms, she leaned on his chest with her hand around his neck.
It was now his turn to get mad at such scenario, must she always show to him how much she loves Coast.
He had just saved her from an attack, the least she could do was let him help her to the end yet she insisted on going to the hospital herself when she knew quite well that she couldn’t walk.
“How long do you think Bella would be yours” he whispered in anger as he watched them go. He had made it a self ambition to make Bella fall in love with him and saving her was part of the plan.
Those weren’t ordinary Rogues who attacked her but his men that he had asked to help to make him look like a hero to Bella, he wanted to create the impression that she could trust him and lean on him for protection.
Bella may be mated to Coast but that doesn’t mean she won’t open her heart to someone else, Almano had hope that with the right actions Bella might be able to see him too as a man and also grow feelings for him. It was a desire of his to make sure his dreams of her came true. Every single time he closed his eyes, all he could see was her face, her smiles, her body. He wished he could have her much sooner then he would make sure that Coast never had the chance to take her away from him.
“Enjoy your mate while it lasts but once she falls for me, I will show you just how possessive I can be over her” he muttered.
Alpha Coast and Bella was already out of his sight so they couldn’t hear anything he said neither was anyone around him to report to them. Almano changed back to his wolf to free himself from the agony of having Bella taken away from him when she was so close to him a minute ago. When he had carried her in his arms, he could feel his heart beat faster and he didn’t need to be told that it was because of her. He believed they had a connection but Bella was trying so hard to hide it yet he swore to himself to make her see that she could open up her heart to another man.
Alpha Coast kept Bella on the bed while he treated her wounds quietly, From his silence Bella could guess that he was angry with her.
“Are you mad at me?” She asked but he was dead quiet.
“Coast talk to me” she said but he still wouldn’t listen or raise him head to her.
She waited for him until he was done treating her, he was about to stand up when she grabbed his hand and moved closer to him.
“Are you mad at me?” She asked again.
“What do you expect me to do?” He answered back in a haste.
“I didn’t mean to get attacked, it wasn’t my fault that the Rogues breached the border” she stated.
Coast looked at her, how could be so dumb to think that was the reason why he was mad at her.
“I realized that but did you have to end up in his arms” he questioned holding tightly the bed frame almost breaking it.
“I didn’t mean to end up in his arms, I had tried to go to the hospital myself but I couldn’t work. I couldn’t wait for you because I thought you may not have heard about the news in the first place. He offered to help me and I couldn’t decline because I couldn’t walk on my own. You know I would never allow him to help me if I could walk on my own” she said in her defense. This was one of the reasons why she didn’t want Almano to help her because she knew that Coast would be mad about it.
“You don’t know how hard it was for me to not tear him limb from limb for having you in his arms. You know how possessive I am over you Bella and I can’t afford to have another man even touching you. Could you do me a Favour and stay away from Almano if you don’t want me to kill him in a fit of rage” Coast demanded of her.
“Sure, I will stay away from him” she answered him.
Coast wanted to tell her about how Almano has been trying to get close to her even to the point of spying on her but he held it back in. Since she had decided to stay away from him, he decided not to inform her about that.
“I will never let another man touch me again” she turned his face towards her and kissed him to calm him down.
Coast was immediately okay and he could let go of his clenched fist on the bed.
He placed her back gently on the bed and laid with her too.
“Your wounds would take an hour to heal because it was from a Rogue” he replied.
“Thanks”
“Do you feel any pain?” He asked.
“Just a mild pain, it is nothing I can’t handle” she answered resting her head on his shoulders.
“Could you tell me what actually happened?” He asked.
“I had just finished sprinting with Diamond and we were returning home while I had a conversation her, I heard a twig snap behind me so I turned to see who it was, in the next minute I was attacked by eight rogues” She narrated to him all that had happened. The attack she had was so sudden and fast before she could even react or think of using her powers.
“Then how did Almano come in?” Coast asked how Almano was able to save her.
“While I was being attacked he just appeared out of nowhere protecting me, he fought two of them and then the rest just fled after that” she explained.
“They fled after such a small fight” Coast asked finding the whole story with Almano quite suspicious.
Just a little fight wouldn’t cause them to retreat immediately, they only did that when they were outnumbered or their opponent had much more strength than them. According to Bella’s narration Almano didn’t fight for long and it was just one man against eight making it look too suspicious.
“Yes, it felt like they didn’t want to hurt him” she said taking her own stance on all that happened. She had been attacked by those Rogues mercilessly but When Almano appeared they didn’t even bother to fight back.
“Hmm, it was a planned attack” Coast relayed to her.
“Do you think Almano would send Rogues to attack me, why would he do that?” Bella asked thinking Almano would never do such a thing to her.
“To look like the hero to you, he did that so that he could appear like the one who saved your life. This is why I said you should stay away from him, he is trying to get closer to you” Coast confessed the details he had put together about why Almano would plot an attack on Bella.
“How dare he do such a thing to me” Bella said startled by such act from Almano, she thought he was a good person when she met him but she didn’t know he would go that far just to her closer to her.
“I will take care of him, don’t worry” Coast assured her to get her mind of it, he was already working out a plan where he would make Almano pay for what he had done and much better he would have to pay for that with his life. That was the only way to get rid of him permanently.
“Have your rest, by the time you wake up, your wounds would be healed” Coast informed her and Bella obliged laying on her pillow to sleep.
