Bella met Coast in the room sitting on the bed.
“Still thinking about it” she said sitting close to him.
“I don’t want her here, I just don’t want to see her face” he muttered. Back then he had really wanted to leave her there without looking back, after all the things that she did to him in the past he was willing to leave her for dead just for that.
“Come on, she is still your step mother and she had said she is sorry for the things she did” Bella stated from what she could actually see from Adeline. She believed she was indeed sorry.
“I don’t think she is” He replied.
“What do you mean?” Bella asked to know if there was something he figured out about her to make him feel that way.
“You don’t know the things she did to my family, to my mother” he added recalling the pain his mother had to go through in Adeline’s hands.
“I do, you told me about it remember” she said referring the time Coast had told her about his family’s past.
“That is not everything, that is just half of things she did. She once brought an ordinary guard to rape my mother while she was being locked up” he let out, he had sealed his lips about that before but now he just had to give a full details of what Adeline really did.
“Did your father know about it” Bella asked shocked about such a thing.
“I don’t know, all I know was that when I went to visit my mother, I saw her walking out with a man who had a smirk on his face, he had the scent of my mother all over him. I found my mom with her cloths all torn as she sat by a corner, that was the first time she cried and yelled at me to leave. She didn’t want me to know what happened but I already knew” He explained to her.
“I am really sorry to hear that” Bella said and was about siding with him when she recalled that Adeline seemed so sorry for everything.
“I am not asking you to forgive her fully, what am I saying is that you should give her a try. If she has other intentions then you can send her away or even kill her.
She has lost her only child and she even went through the risk of coming here even when she knew she was banished and shouldn’t dare face you. She knew all the consequences of coming back here but she still did, I believe she has truly changed and that is why she is here. Please just hear her out” Bella pleaded.
“Can you hear yourself Bella, I just told you of all the things she did to my mother and you are telling me to hear her out. Are you okay?” He yelled at her standing up from the bed. He couldn’t believe she would say such a thing to him.
“Listen to me Coast, life is all about forgiveness. You had once told me to forgive Hava for the things she did to me now I am telling you to forgive Adeline for the things she did to you” she reminded him of his words to her when she had a conflict with Hava.
“It’s not that easy to forgive her” he said feeling defeated, Bella had used his own words on him making him feel helpless about it.
“I know, it wasn’t easy to forgive Hava. What Hava did to me is nothing compared to what Adeline did to you. You can start bit by bit to forgive her and before you know it you have forgiven her fully” She said.
“That would take a long time” he sighed in answer, he knew it would take a while for him to actually forgive Adeline for what she had done to him and his mother. How she turned his father against them and almost made him banish him like he wasn’t his son.
“I know, we can start by letting her in the castle to stay with us. She belongs here as our step mother” She requested. All Bella wanted to do was reunite Coast with the family he had once lost. He had lost his mother in the past but maybe the moon goddess had pardoned him and had brought Adeline to be like a mother to him. Coast had always said Bella was his family but with Adeline his family could increase and he could have the motherly love that had been cut short from him but as for Adeline, she was going to monitor her to know if she was really sincere.
“You want to bring her here?” He questioned not keen with the idea of having Adeline in the castle.
“Yes, since you claim that she is not sincere, what better way to watch her than her being here. We can keep an eye on her and figure out her plans if she has any.
Keep your enemies closer they say” She stated.
“What was all the talk just now about forgiving her, I thought you said she has changed” Coast asked confused.
“Those are just her words and a little action from her, I will need to see more to be convinced but we have to keep her close to us. I only said that to seem like a good person but that was all bullshit, If she is evil then we shall kill her ourselves” She smiled.
“Okay, she can stay here but I will not guarantee that I would be nice to her” he agreed.
“I never asked you to be nice to her” she replied.
Bella left him and returned back to the hospital to give Adeline the news. When she got there she found out that Adeline had left the hospital and headed into the woods claiming she was leaving.
Adeline walked slowly in the woods like she was broken to the core but deep down she was just waiting for Bella to catch up to her.
“Adeline” she heard her name and instantly knew it was Bella, she went down on her knees feigning weakness as she forced tears out of her eyes.
Bella got to her and found her crying,
“You don’t need to tell me, I know he wants me to leave and that is why I am going. Please take good care of him for me. He is all I have right now, I will leave the rest of my life knowing that I had wronged him and do not deserve his forgiveness” she spat out.
Bella just watched her with no expression, “Was she trying to act pitiful” she thought to herself. If she was then she was a very good actress.
“You are allowed to stay in the castle with us” Bella let out.
“Really” She immediately wiped her tears hearing such beautiful news which was what she was waiting for.
Adeline knew that Coast would not be able to resist Bella and she would be able to soften his heart into letting her stay.
“I have one question for you though?” Bella said once she was back up.
“Anything” she replied.
“Did you bring a man to rape his mother?” Bella brazenly asked.
Adeline could remember that, it was one of the things that broke Coast’s mother. She could see that he had told Bella everything that happened in the past and it was up to her to convince Bella that she has truly changed.
She went down on her knees holding Bella’s legs,
“It is true that I have done such a shameful thing, everyday I am haunted by the things I had done to his mother. I know I deserve death for all of that. I feel so regretful right now” she cried on her legs.
Bella pulled her legs away instead and smile at her, “We will see if Death is good enough for you” She answered.
Adeline was a bit startled by the words Bella said, could it be that her act was not able to fool her. She had given her best show and yet she doubted her. She hid the shock on her face and stood up following Bella to the Castle.
Once they got there, she stared at how big it was. A lot of things had changed from the last time she was there.
“You all just opened your door to doom, I will be sure to destroy each and everyone of you starting with you Coast” she said to herself walking in.
“Now that you are close to us, it is easy to get revenge on you for the things you did.
Be sure to watch your back Adeline because if you are plotting something evil against my mate then you will surely meet your death here” Bella said to herself.
