Coast and Bella were in the office working together, Coast had invited Bella over because he needed her close to him so he made her work too.
“Your coffee” an Omega said giving her a cup of coffee that Coast had requested for her.
“Thank you” Bella replied about to take a sip when the doors opened wide.
“Don’t drink it” Adeline screamed running in.
“What is wrong?” Bella asked.
“Poison, there is poison in the coffee” she said breathless.
“Poison again, why do all want to kill me with whatever I drink. Am I not supposed to drink anything ever again” Bella yelled. This was the third time her drink was tempered with and she was getting worked up about it. They couldn’t think of any way to kill but only by giving her poisoned drinks.
“Poison, there is no poison in the coffee” the omega defended herself in front of the Alpha and Luna who were already believing what Adeline had said.
“How are you sure that there is poison?” Coast suspected that Adeline was up to something.
“I went to kitchen to get a few snacks when I saw her put something in the tea. At first I thought it was beverage but with the way she hid it, I could tell it was something bad. I followed to see what was going to happen and saw her bringing it to you” She answered.
“I didn’t poison the coffee Alpha, I can swear with my life that I didn’t poison it” the omega defended herself from such allegations. All that Adeline had said now, she could bet that she did none of those.
“Why are you lying to your Alpha and Luna, you poisoned the coffee and I saw you” Adeline accused her further.
“I didn’t” the omega went down on her knees begging that she didn’t poison the coffee but no one was convinced by her pleas.
“If you didn’t poison it then drink it” Bella asked stretching the cup to her.
“Yes Luna” the omega took the cup from her and drank it all without hesitation. She was very certain that she didn’t poison the coffee and she had to prove it to them too.
Seeing how she drank the coffee immediately and the fact that she didn’t hesitate made Bella and Coast to think that Adeline was overreacting and it might not have been poison that she thought.
“But I saw you put something inside the cup” Adeline still accused her.
“I didn’t put anything, I would never poison the…” the omega halted in her words as she felt a sharp pain in her stomach. In the next minute she was coughing blood.
“Blood” Bella remarks seeing it.
“You see, I told you that she poisoned the tea” Adeline pointed out to them that she was indeed right proving that she had just saved Bella’s life.
In a speed of light, Coast had already grabbed the Omega and threw her to the wall.
“Who sent you?” He demanded.
“Alpha I swear to you that I didn’t do it, I would never poison the Luna not to even think of it in the first place” she pleaded.
“Are you going to keep lying to my face” Coast picked her up and squeezed her neck tightly pinning her to the wall.
“Alpha I am telling you the truth, I didn’t poison the coffee” she let out with hot tears flowing from her eyes. She knew very well that she was innocent and did not poison the coffee but how was she going to explain the fact that her stomach was aching badly and she was coughing blood.
“Who sent you?” He asked. Coast thought there was no way she would want to poison the Luna on her own, someone must have told her to do it for a certain price and the only person on his mind was Adeline. She was the only one who had the motive to do that.
“Alpha I am telling you the truth, I didn’t poison the coffee” she pleaded trying to get his grip off her neck but he was too strong for her that she couldn’t escape him.
“What truth are you talking about, isn’t there enough evidence for us to know that you tried to kill my mate” he replied.
“Please believe me Alpha, I didn’t do it” She said.
“Then how do you explain this” he asked. The omega was dumbstruck and unsure of what to say, she couldn’t explain how she was bleeding in front of him.
“Who sent you” He asked watching her to see if she would stare at Adeline to give him the confirmation that it was her but the omega looked more confused and didn’t keep her gaze on Adeline. She was trying to figure out if it was from a mistake she made.
“I didn’t poison it” she pleaded with him but Coast listen no more to her pleas. He could see that she was slowly dying as more blood was coming out of her lips. He wanted to let her go so that she could die peacefully but the fact that she tried to poison Bella and still couldn’t tell him who made her do it got him mad. He dug his claws into her chest and pulled her heart out immediately then he let her body drop to the ground.
Adeline was so shocked by the method he used in killing the omega, she could remember the wounds that Almano had in his chest and it immediately dawned on her that Coast had tried to take her son’s heart too. She clenched her fist in anger watching him. How dare he try to kill her son.
“Thank you Adeline, you just saved my life” Bella thanked her.
“Don’t worry it is nothing, I am just glad that I came out at the right time to see her” She replied.
Adeline returned to her room after the incident with a smile on her face,
“Now you both will have no choice than to trust me” she said to herself.
“(Flashback)
Adeline was about entering the kitchen when she saw an omega preparing a cup of coffee, it was unusual for an omega to be in the kitchen at that hour unless she was running an errand. She immediately ran to her room to get a little substance she had been keeping to poison Bella later. How to poison the coffee was now the next problem she faced as the omega wouldn’t leave the kitchen without taking the cup of coffee with her.
She masked her scent and caused a distraction causing the omega to come out of the kitchen to check it, before she came back Adeline had already slipped the poison in and walked away happy.
(End of flashback).
Now that she had helped in saving Bella life she was sure that Coast would begin to look at her differently. He would think that she had no ill intentions towards them and would finally let his guard down which is the time she would strike.
She reminded herself of how easy Coast had reaped the heart of the omega,
‘What if the Omega had suspected me’ she thought. Maybe her life would have ended just like that Omega, probably her heart would have been taken out in that manner but the omega wasn’t that smart to point fingers back at her so she wasn’t suspected at all by Coast.
Considering the things she had done to Coast he would seem very happy to kill her if he found out that she was the one who really tried to poison Bella.
“I still need to be careful, that man is dangerous. If he was able to kill his father then he wouldn’t think twice about killing me” she thought to herself about how brutal Coast was, he had once wanted to kill her before but for the sake of her child, he banished her instead. If he found out her plans then he would kill her for sure.
“Anyways, I will still get my revenge on him dead or alive” she muttered to herself with an urge to end him soon.
