"Cheryl! Cheryl Xiu!"
"Donna?" Cheryl called from upstairs. Her facial expression showed surprise and anger. She fumed and raced down the stairs, "How dare you barged into my house, screaming my name?!"
Donna didn't give her a reply but waited until she was down and within arms reach. Still with the glow in her eyes, and a tingle of power in her palm, she slapped Cheryl. Hard.
The force of impact sent Cheryl down to the floor with a torn lip. In rage, she snapped her head up at Donna, "You insolent -"
But Donna didn't let her finish talking. She got on top of Cheryl and began beating and slapping her, all the while yelling at her.
“Leave my daughter alone! You already have Jeremy! What else do you want you sick psycho!”
Cheryl tried to fight back but she was unable to over power Donna, even her vampire strength seemed useless as Donna had her pinned beneath her.
None of the servants intervened, they just stood around, watching as Donna pounced on Cheryl, screaming at her to leave her daughter alone.
Jeremy pull his car up to the drive way and turned off the engine. He sat a while inside, still contemplating on Laura's offer. He knew he would be wrong to accept it, but just how desperate was he really?
He pushed the door open and stepped out, then shut it and walked towards the house. He counted his steps because he reasoned to walk straight to his father's room to discuss this with him, but then again, he still wasn't sure.
As he got closer to the entrance door, he began hearing sounds - screams of help and the voice sounded like Cheryl's. He walked faster now only to get to the entrance to see the guards lying there unconscious. Immediately, he got defensive.
He reasoned that Cheryl must have done wrong to someone outside - as is her usual way - and the person must have traced her to this house to attack her. But then, who in their right senses would come to the Xiu residence to make trouble?
He hurried into the house but momentarily paused when he saw Donna, right on top of Cheryl, beating her silly.
He almost laughed but snapped out of it immediately. On a norm, Donna would never near the area where the Xiu residence was, so for her to come into the house to attack Cheryl, Cheryl must have done something gravely offending.
He ran to them, approaching Donna from behind. He reached out and grabbed her by the waist firmly before struggling to pull her away from Cheryl as she continued to trash about, seriously wanting to claw at Cheryl.
"Let me go! Let me go!" Donna trashed about.
She took no notice of the person who had pulled her off Cheryl and was still holding her. The only person she had in her sights was Cheryl who had now backed away from her but still remained on the floor.
“You have the house! You bear the Xiu name! Yet you want to take what is mine! The one thing I have!” Donna screamed at Cheryl, wishing she could rip the woman's face right off her empty head!
"You don't deserve anything!" Cheryl spat, "You shouldn't get nothing! Why should you have her! Giving the Xiu house what I cannot!"
Donna didn't quite understand what Cheryl was going on about but one thing was clear to her, Cheryl Xiu was still threatening her daughter's life.
“If you don’t stop your antics then I will tell Jeremy that you are trying to kill his own daughter! Then let’s see how much he would want to stay with you! Stay away from my child!”
Jeremy blanked out for a second, his grip on Donna loosened but he didn't let her go, despite her fighting to be free of him. He felt a cold wave wash over him for a minute as his brain tried to grasp what Donna had just unintentionally revealed to him.
“We have a daughter?”
Immediately, he felt her go quiet, then her head snapped around back to look at him. Although the pure rage was still evident in her expression, Jeremy could read shock somewhere there as well.
She pushed away from him forcefully, sent a cold and angry stare at Cheryl who was now struggling to get to her feet, "Stay the hell away from my daughter Cheryl! Any more threats to her life and I will personally end you! Mark my words Cheryl Xiu! I will end you!"
She briefly glanced at Jeremy, and without saying as much as a word to him, stormed out of the house.
Jeremy remained frozen to a spot, he looked at Cheryl but he didn't see her, his mind had gone blank. Slowly, his head moved, and his eyes fell on the television. He saw Donna on the news as she jumped out of her car, running towards wreckage of another car that had been involved in an accident.
He snapped his fingers towards one of the servants who was still there, "Turn up the volume."
The servant did as was told and Jeremy listened to the announcer.
"... the lady, identified as the mother, can be seen frantically searching for her daughter in the wreckage. Imagine what seeing that would have done to her..."
Jeremy watched as Donna reached into the smoking van and pulled out her daughter. She walked a little distance away from the wreckage before placing her in the ground. He narrowed his eyes and walked closer to the television when he noticed the blood around the girl's face, but only when the girl began to cry did he notice the fangs that had dropped.
It has been brief, very very brief before Donna covered her face and carried her into her car.
Jeremy's heart beat accelerated in excitement. He walked closer and placed his hand on the television, caressing the screen with a smile on his face.
"I have a daughter."
