Ariana's POV
Although I wanted to stay longer with Iris, I needed to go home, and Mason even though through the training he looks calm, I don't know the turn of events if we went behind closed doors, will he not distance himself from me, would he show me the door? This thought was what was on my head, as I watched his hand on mine, while we made our way to our quarter.
Once we arrived at our quarter, what I was scared of was what was about to happen, Mason tried to free his hand from mine and leave but I grabbed him back, hugging him, with my hand wrapped around him, and didn't let go. I could feel Mason hold his breath.
"Breathe, Mason breathe." He lowers his gaze and looks at me. "Thank you for agreeing to go with Rupert and Iris and thank you for holding my hand all through our walk home. I have fun and the pup loves it."
"I am glad you did and sorry..."
"Will you stay beside me too, I missed you, our pup missed you, he is longing for his father. I smiled sweetly at him, even though he wasn't saying anything, he wasn't distancing himself from me, he just stood there like a log of wood. "asked for anything, and I will gladly give it to you if you stay beside us."
"Ariana, don't think I don't want you anymore, I am..."
"You wouldn't know if you don't try, did you ever think that you could be able to move like Rupert?" I asked but he didn't respond, he didn't also push from me. "You wouldn't know if you don't try."
"Ariana." My heart flutters, anytime he calls me by my name, I get some sensation in my system and I love it. He grabbed my face, causing our eyes to meet and my heart skip. "I love everything about you and I will not stop loving and I promised myself back then, that if the goddess didn't fate you to me, I would have still chosen you as my chosen mate and nothing would have made me claim my fated mate and leave you."
"Then what changed, why are you acting like you don't love me."
"It's because I am scared, scared that I will hurt you and I might even kill you." My hand moved to his hair, I grabbed his head and pushed it towards my neck, yet again he held his breath.
"Don't do that, I want you to smell me."
"That is dangerous." When he spoke he didn't realize that he was inhaling me now, I noticed his fangs were elongated, and his breath was unstable, he wanted to push me away but I hugged him tight.
"Bite me, claim me, and make you a vampire if that is what you are scared of."
I didn't push back, nor did I show any signs of fear that I was afraid of what he would do to me. I fell my neck for him to lean into and claimed, two things were in my mind, it's either we succeeded or failed, but I would rather have the first not the second. He too didn't flinch, he leaned in more and sank his fangs into my shoulder instead of my neck.
That was all, he didn't hurt me, the weeks passed by quickly, while the men were planning the coronation ceremony and also the merging of the two packs, since the council finally approved, we the females were trying to bond, the former Luna which happens to be the mother of Rupert is trying so hard to care for all of us, we all practically live together. But apart from me, Cathy, and Iris, I feel Celina doesn't want to be with us, she is only focusing on herself.
"Your tummy is getting bigger" Iris will tease me.
"No, it's yours that Is bigger." I will tease her back.
Iris and I had become very close and we realized that we are bonding faster, and it seems we have common interests. We had many things in common, our goals and wants in life were simple and a peaceful life. Celina's tummy was bigger, I bet she will put to birth before all of us
"If you think that my tummy is bigger, what will you call Celina's tummy?" Iris points at Celina, who is just coming in. I could feel she was trying to befriend Celina but Celina does not love Iris, she has always been a bitter she-wolf and a selfish one at that.
"Are you saying that I am a buffalo?" Celina growl.
"Hey relax, no one said that." I try to calm the situation.
"Then what is she saying, you tell me?" she snarls at me, as her eyes turn red.
"You don't have to be all mad, it's not good for the female." The atmosphere became tense with the mere mention of her having a female pup in her tummy.
"Iris, don't you dare refer to my pup as a female, he is a male wolf," Celina growled rushing to Iris, she was ready to let out her wolf and launch at Iris but former Luna Oscar was there, she stood in front of Celina.
"Celina, what madness is going on here?" Former Luna growl.
"It's nothing, we are just having a conversation," Celina said shrugging.
"If you say so because I don't want my grandchildren to be furious at each other, I will not want what happened to repeat itself, I am tired of bad blood, and if you are going to keep your..."
"Mother," Iris called her, Former Luna Oscar, pinned her lips together, it was difficult for her.
"Find gang up on me because the pup is not..."
"Enough, you will not talk to mother like that and no one is saying that the pup is not mother's pup and if I were you, I would not let alpha Rupert hear that." Female Delta Cathy's voice shut her.
Cathy is not one who takes nonsense, she is not like Iris who is patient with people, once she is mad, she shows it and doesn't freaking care about how you feel but she will never hurt anyone.
"You should apologize to mother." She yelled at Celina, Celina glared at her and her fist clenched.
"That's enough, she doesn't have to apologize." Celina stomped out.
"Come on Mother, did you see that?" Cathy points at Celina.
"It's enough, You should know that it's her pregnancy that is causing her to behave this way, so no need to worry let's go to the dining."
As usual mother is making excuse for Celina's action, everyone at one point in time have mood swings but Celina is not acting this way because of her pregnancy, she is just one selfish witch, I pray her pup is a female, that way we do not have to have another Russell, when all the pups arrived.
After the meal prepared by Mother, Cathy said she was tired and needed to rest, leaving just me and Iris. I noticed that she was sad, I pushed my hand into her hair.
"What is the alpha thinking?" She raised her head and looked at me. "Tell me, are you getting nervous?"
"I don't want to have a male pup."
"Why?"
"I am scared that there will be chaos, if my pup and Celina's pup turn out to be male wolves, what if they become like Rupert and Russell? What if their life becomes complicated and they both are struggling for the..."
"Sh! The alpha position will always belong to Rupert's heir and there is no way, Celina's pup will become the next alpha of Wildfang Shadow Moon Pack and Goldfang Pack."
"That is it? I don't want that, I don't want the both of them fighting."
"Then you should asked Rupert to banish Celina and care for the pup like yours."
"No way, I can't possibly tell Rupert that, It's bad enough that I have made the pup lose his father and his mother too, I can't." I pulled her into a hug, we should enjoy the good days and forget about the sad days.
"Let's prepare for the ceremony for tomorrow."
