~Sophia Pov~
As soon as Derick came back, I showed him the corpse of the werewolf and he examined it carefully. "This is definitely one of Blake's rogues," he said, "I know where he came from."
I was relieved that Derick knew what to do, but at the same time, I was worried. If Blake was willing to send another werewolf to attack us, what else was he desperately capable of?
"What should we do now?" I asked Derick.
"Nothing," he replied calmly, "nobody can overpower me. But we have to move back to the city center. They need me urgently at the company and you'll be coming to work as my right-hand."
I felt a mix of excitement and nervousness at the prospect of working alongside Derick. I knew he was a powerful Alpha and a successful businessman, but my experience in Mondragon's company before, was horrible.
"When are we leaving?" I asked him.
"Right now," Derick replied. "I have a mansion in the city where we can all move into."
I could see the sadness on Derick's face as he thought about leaving behind the hideout mansion. It had been our home for a while, but we had to move on.
We quickly held an urgent meeting with all of the followers and informed them that we were leaving that night. Everyone was excited and apprehensive at the same time. We packed our belongings and left the hideout mansion behind, ready to start a new chapter in the city center.
~Blake Pov~
"Why did you visit me, Miranda?" I asked as I stepped into my cabin, an eyebrow raised in suspicion.
Miranda chuckled. "Because I need to return you to the cell where you belong," she said.
I narrowed my eyes. "If you think you can treat me like a slave like before, then you must be joking," I said firmly.
Miranda warned me not to run my tongue too much, saying that she might cut it off. I glanced at Amanda, who looked uneasy, seeing Miranda.
Before Amanda could defend herself to Miranda, I told Miranda to leave my cabin right now, or she would have to face me. As I attempted to shift into a wolf, something strange caught my attention. Miranda was also turning, and it looked as though I was controlling her wolf.
We were all surprised, and Miranda turned to Theresa, demanding an explanation. Theresa told Miranda that she didn't know what was happening.
I smiled, telling Miranda that since she had stolen my blood and injected herself to become a wolf, this was the price she would pay. I would always be the one to control her, and it was the best feeling ever.
Miranda was furious but couldn't do anything. I saw a devilish smile on Mia's face, and Miranda told Theresa that they should leave. Both of them left, and I let out a sigh of relief.
I turned to Amanda and asked her how did Miranda know about this place? She told me she doesn't know and I shouldn't say I am suspecting her for that. Mia strolled to Amanda's front and told her not to blame me because Amanda is the only one that is closer to Miranda, and it seems like Amanda could do anything just to save herself. Amanda wasn't cool with Mia's accusation, and she decided to engage in a heated argument with her, but her phone rang with an unknown number.
Amanda didn't want to pick it up, but Mia told her to pick it up if she's not hiding anything. Amanda said she won't pick it because Mia doesn't have the right to order her around. I turned to Amanda and told her to pick up the call right now! I had a furious look on my face. Amanda picked up, and I snatched the phone and put it on speaker.
The person on the other end told Amanda that Derick and his followers had just arrived in the city and, according to his findings, Derick's company was having financial issues. Amanda ended the call, and I asked Amanda if she had been making a move on Derick before getting to my captive.
Amanda exhaled and said yes because she's not yet done with Sophia, and Sophia must pay for her parents' sins. I smiled and told Amanda that we need to make a big plan that will surprise Derick.
I turned to Mia and Amanda and asked them to come up with a plan as well. Mia suggested that we should try to get close to Derick and gain his trust. She suggested that I should act as a mediator between Derick and his company, and that we should offer him a business proposal that would benefit both our factions.
Amanda added that we should also try to sabotage Derick's company from within, using our contacts and resources. Mia added that we should also target Sophia directly, by either kidnapping her or killing her.
I was hesitant about Mia's suggestion to target Sophia, as I knew it would cause a lot of trouble, if we go for that first. But I decided to go along with the plan. We spent the next few hours discussing the plan and making preparations.
After long discussion, I came up with a plan, I said to Amanda and Mia. "Since Derick's company is having financial issues, I'm sure Derick might want to be selling out some of his shares. And this is the best time for us. We will use someone else to go and buy shares in Derick's company with a hidden identity, and once the transaction is successful, I will reveal myself to Derick. Mia, you will go back to the company and work, but you will have to monitor every Derick's move and report to me. Or we should both start working there, with that, we can take Derick's company from him."
Mia's face lit up with excitement. "I like the plan, it sounds great!" she said. "But how are we going to find someone to buy shares with a hidden name?"
"I have a friend who can do it," I replied. "He's a lawyer, and he's done things like this before. He will be the perfect person to help us."
Amanda then asked, "What about my plan to make Sophia suffer?"
I sighed and replied, "You will have to wait for that. After I succeed in taking Derick down, you can go for Sophia. But for now, we need to focus on our plan to take down Derick's company."
Mia nodded in agreement. "We need to be careful," she said. "We don't want to get caught."
"I know," I replied. "But we have to take risks to get what we want. And I'm willing to take that risk."
Amanda and Mia both nodded in agreement, and we all shook hands, ready to put our plan into action.
