My heart once again felt feeble when I stood outside Marianne's place. I swallowed hard and knocked, Marianne looked at me with a hint of shock when she saw me.
I gave her an icy look and once again asked about Rebecca, "Call Rebecca."
She turned and I saw Rebecca with a guy. Her eyes met mine, her sapphire gaze went wide.
“Hey.” I passed her a smile and opened my mouth to say something but she ran to me and engulfed me in a hug.
“Ryan!” Her petite form hugged me, clutching my shirt and burying her face in it.
“Rebecca? Are you okay?” Perplexed by her action I hesitantly put my hand over her back and rubbed it gently.
“I am glad you are back.” She sniffed, I looked at her, my heart clenched when I saw her crying. She was crying while hugging me.
"What happened? Why are you crying?" I asked, softly consoling her. She sniffed again and wiped her tears.
I kept staring at her intently wanting to know what happened. I cupped her cheeks with my one hand and made her look at me.
"Are you okay, Rebecca?" I asked. Her grip on my shirt tightened as she shook her head 'no'. She was holding me like she waited for me for years.
“Did something happen?” I asked strictly, turning my head to Marianne.
“I missed you.. That’s all.” She whispered.
It felt like by meeting me, she met all her hopes and that thought and feeling gave me immense rapture. Her eyes bore into mine as it's the last thing she is gonna do.
“You don’t have to cry for you.” I wiped her tears and kissed her forehead. She put her head on my chest, not letting me go, holding me close, depending on her life.
I pulled away slowly and said, "Let's go home." She nodded and pulled away.
She turned to Marianne and gave her a hug and bid her goodbye and then turned to the Blue-eyed guy, she passed him a smile and waved at him.
I unintentionally put my arm around her shoulder and pulled her close to me, certainly not to tell him that she is mine.
We then sat down and she grinned at me. She was smiling radiantly, she seemed exuberant to see me.
The distress in her eyes faded away when she saw me. A smile rose to my lips and I realized that she missed me too.
"I have gotten used to you." She said, sweetly.
I smirked and replied, "Me too."
I then turned to the road and asked, "Nothing else?"
"Huh?"
"Are you just used to me or is there anything else?" And my heart wants to know what's more to her words.
"Why would it be? Except the fact you are becoming my redemption, I don't think there is nothing. So, what are you complying with?" Love.
She asked, putting her index finger over her cheek, looking so cute that my heart began to beat fast along with a fluttering urge to stare at her aesthetic features.
"Nothing.. just wanna ask." She shrugged her shoulders and a silence fell upon us.
"By the way, who was that guy?" I asked.
"Uh.. he's.. um.." She trailed off. We stopped at the red light and I turned my head to her. She nervously looked down and replied in a faint voice.
".. He's Jayden." I think I have heard that name before and I did when she continued and told me.
"The one... who wrote those notes.. I have burned." She completed her sentence with a glint of fear in her voice; not being able to look at me.
"And what is he doing at her place?" I asked, slightly angered. She shuddered as her breath hitched.
She shut her eyes as she said quickly, "I don't know. He has his job in Fairmont, he just offered me to hangout with him, nothing else."
"And what did you reply?" I asked, leaning close to her. She slowly opened her eyes and turned to look at me. The look of fright was clear on her face.
I looked at her seriously which increased her heartbeat more. She looked at me innocently, wanting to say something but couldn't. She opened her mouth but seemed like the words she wanted to speak couldn't come to her lips.
"I can't promise you anything." She managed to reply lowly, looking down.
I held her chin and lifted her head, staring deeply into her appealing eyes, my eyes glistened in possession and rage.
"You are my woman, Rebecca." I enunciated.
"You belong to me." I leaned in dangerously close to her face. My breath lingered on her face as she shivered violently, her breath uneven, eyes searching aimlessly, I couldn't need my gaze.
"I will not tolerate any man to look at you the way I do, to touch you the way I do."
And with that I pressed my lips upon her. She stilled as I could feel it, she was aroused, just a mere touch of mine made her wallow in desire.
But at the same time, she was scared by my possessive behavior. It startled her but couldn't push me away. I kissed her slowly yet passionately, invoking that great gratification deeply into not just into mine but her soul as well.
She held the hem of my dress, taking out the distress on it and indulging in the kiss; kissing me back with her eyes closed.
I bit her bottom lip and pulled away slowly and spoke huskily, "You better get it." She nodded and didn't let go of my shirt. My gaze traveled to her hand, signaling her to let go.
She abruptly let go of my shirt as I smirked and moved back and drove again.
"Ryan.." She called me.
I hummed in response, motioning her to continue, "No one can look at me the way you do, right?"
"Yeah.." I said, solely focusing on the road.
"Then.. how do you look at me?" She asked, looking at me intensely.
My eyes widened in disbelief, my mind lost in mystifying thoughts as her words caused a commotion in my mind. I couldn't comprehend her words as if they were too deep.
How do I look at her?
My heart skipped a beat. I wasn't able to see her gaze. Lost in deep thoughts, I decided not to answer.
"Ryan.." She called me again.
"Tell me, how do you look at me?" She asked, softly, sadly, faintly.
My lack of response made her feel disheartened, she lowered her gaze and kept looking down and I can feel the disappointment emerging from her.
My grip on the steering wheel tightened as I grit my teeth. I exhaled deeply, my chest tightened. My lips began to quiver, my mind lost its senses.
None of us exchanged any words and reached home.
I got out and took a hold of her arms. I took her with me, my grip on her wrist was iron, she didn't even flinch and kept looking down, feeling heartbroken.
We entered, Mom and Dad saw us but I just took her with me. We went to our room, I closed the door behind me and locked it.
I pinned her to the wall, I secured both of her hands with mine and leaned in staring at her with in-depth emotions. Her breath became heavy, she didn't dare to lift her gaze.
"Look at me, Rebecca.." I whispered, desperately, breathlessly.
She slowly raised her gaze, her eyes bore into mine. My breath mixed up with hers. Our heartbeat synchronized. An unwanted tear simultaneously rolled down from our eyes as I lost my grip on her hands and moved my hand down.
"What do you see?" I asked, slowly and feebly. Her lips began to tremble, her whole being was deluged in insecurities.
No words were spoken and soon the absence of sound crushed us miserably, leaving us miserable. Soon, her pants turned into a soft whimper.
We both know, no matter how close we get, we are miles apart. Some restraints pulled us back, not letting us meet and shine into the light, not letting out to take out those urges that are driving us insane.
"Please.. don't.." She whispered, closing her eyes and lowering her head.
"Then don't ever ask about it again." I whispered back desperately.
I put my forehead against hers, both of our faces glistened in a tear staying on our cheek, emerging intense sorrow.
To escape that desperation, I wanted to become one with her, so that I can receive the utmost serenity to have in my arms.
So, that grief could also be buried inside us. I want the entitlement of her having her as mine. I want to release that fiery fire.
"Rebecca. I need you badly…" I called her, my heart began to beat fast as the need to pull her close to me aroused in me. I want to touch no one ever did, hold her, claim her.
"Can I?" I asked pulling her close to me. She held my shirt, still not opening her eyes. That was enough for me to know that she is also thinking what I am thinking.
"Please.." She whispered and that was enough to fade to black.
