“You are proud that you fucked my sister behind my back, is that what you mean, Wade? You are my friend, and you know that I wanted my sister to experience how to be respected. And now, you are telling me that you slept with her. That I didn't have a choice but to agree to your upcoming wedding because she is pregnant.” Uriel felt his jaw clenched for an instant. He clasped his hands onto the table and gave Wade a sharp look.
“Wade, if you truly love my sister, it's fine with me as long as you will pursue her like the maiden of the family is pursued. She's my only sister, and you disappointed me because of what you did. You betrayed my trust, because if you treated me as your friend, you would not even insert your dick inside her, and you would have the courage to ask me if you loved her.”
“This is why I'm mad now. You didn't even respect her, and me as your friend. I know you too well, and I know what's dirty in your closet.” Uriel gnashed his teeth when he stood up. He pointed at the door as if he was telling Wade that he should leave now, that he didn't have the time to hear what he was going to say to him.
“You will know what I feel if you have only one sister. Unfortunately, you don't have to. You can leave now. I don't want to see you again.” Uriel felt that his anger went inside his body.
Wade didn't flinch. He was staring at Uriel as if he was waiting for him to take back his words. But Uriel wasn't kidding. So Wade left without a choice.
“I will leave now,” Wade mumbled. He felt disappointed about Uriel's reaction. He went out of Uriel's office and glanced back at the door when it closed.
Uriel watched the door close. Jane was pregnant now, and maybe that was the reason why Jane acted strange when they had their dinner party with Anton's family. He took a deep breath before he took his phone.
“I don't want Wade to come here to my office again. Aside from that, I need a pilot that can drive my plane. Thank you!” What Uriel wanted was to teach Wade a lesson. But how?
Wade went to their house, and he didn't even see Jane in the dining room like she always does. Wade went to their room, and he heard a loud cry from their room. It was Jane. Wade felt guilty that Jane was heartbroken because of her brother. He did talk with Uriel, but Uriel didn't want them to be united.
Wade didn't know what he was going to do. He knocked on the door so Jane would know that he was in the house now. How many times did he need to catch Jane crying because of Uriel?
“Jane, are you there? I bought something for you,” Wade said. He knocked on the door, and he heard that Jane had been inside the bathroom.
Wade went to the kitchen so Jane could have time to fix herself. He knew that Jane didn't like him to see that she was crying secretly. Wade put the ice cream in the freezer and scooped the ice cream.
“Wade, what did you buy from me?” Wade was surprised when Jane came to the kitchen. He examined Jane's face and saw how her eyes reddened. Jane's eyelids were swollen, which meant she cried for so long.
“I bought you an ice cream. I saw you checking this flavor when you were in the grocery store.” Wade smiled when Jane tried to smile at him. Wade knew that Jane's smile was fake, and he knew that Jane didn't like him to get worried about her.
Jane frowned. She couldn't understand when Wade saw her checking the ice cream. But Wade was telling the truth, she was checking the ice cream because she thought that it was delicious.
“How did you know? I mean, I was not with you when I went to the grocery store.” Jane was confused, which made Wade chuckle nervously. Wade started to get a sweat on his forehead, he didn't like Jane to know that he was like a stalker whenever she wasn't with him.
“I just knew. Jane, you didn't know how long I knew you. Okay, I will be honest with you, I was looking for you from afar. When Leo gave me your pictures, I stalked you, are you happy now?” Wade felt embarrassed that he admitted what he was doing when Jane didn't know that he was existing.
Jane blinked her eyes. She didn't know how she would react to what Wade had told her.
Wade was like a stalker? She couldn't imagine that a playboy like Wade would be obsessed with her.
Wade looked away when Jane gazed at him for so long.
“You are my stalker? Does it mean that you were watching me when I was with you?”
“Yes, I was watching you be happy with Daniel.” Wade didn't let Jane utter Daniel's name. He felt jealous and possessive at the same time.
“I understand why Uriel is mad at me. I was the only one that he talked with when he found out that he was dating someone. I was the one who encouraged him to let you choose whatever you want. That's why he felt that I betrayed him. He felt that I used him to get you.” Wade finally dared to tell Jane what was on his mind. He realized that Uriel's feelings were valid, and if he had a sister, maybe he would feel the same way.
Jane's mouth trembled when Wade mentioned her brother. Well, she didn't even know that Uriel trusted Wade so much and that Wade was willing to break their friendship for her.
“Wade, you know that this will happen, right? I mean, you will lose your friendship with my brother.” Jane couldn't stop herself from asking. She closed her eyes when Wade turned around, to get the ice cream that he had prepared for her.
Jane felt that she had swallowed her tongue. Her hands shook when she got the ice cream, but she was surprised when Wade put a gold spoon in her ice cream, scooped a little of it, and made her eat it.
Jane bit her lips. She didn't want to embarrass Wade, so she opened her mouth, and tasted the ice cream that Wade had bought for her. Jane closed her eyes again when she tasted how delicious the strawberry flavor with chocolate ice cream.
“I know that Uriel will end his connections with me once he finds out that I got you pregnant. He didn't like it, but I can't stop myself whenever I am with you. Jane, did you know how long I stopped myself from approaching you? Did you know how hurtful I was whenever I saw you happy with Daniel? Of course, you didn't know about it.”
“I tried to avoid thinking about you. I was watching you from afar while you were studying and Daniel was your best friend. Uriel didn't know about it, either.”
“When I found out that Daniel chose his fiancé over you, I was so mad at him that I wanted to punch his face, but I didn't have the right to act that way. So, I told myself that if I found you again, I wouldn't waste time being with you. When Leo told me that he was with Blossom, I asked him if I wanted to go with him. That's what happened.” Wade faithfully focused on Jane. He felt that something inside him came out when he decided to be honest with Jane.
“Jane, I didn't want to push you to love me. But, I was hoping that you would give me a chance to be with you, because I know that you will learn to love me. I will wait for you even though we might be getting older. I want to create a family with you because you are the woman that I dreamed of.”
Jane gasped when she felt the sincerity of Wade's tone. She was overwhelmed by what she had discovered. She felt that Wade confessed to her, and thinking that someone was patiently waiting for her while she was focused on someone who hurt her made her feel sad at the same time.
Jane thought that Wade might be hurt so much whenever he was watching her being happy with Daniel. Jane couldn't stop herself from being guilty that she was hurting someone without her knowing it.
“Wade… If I didn't like you.. I will not let myself be pregnant with your child. I will not accept your proposal.. I have learned how to appreciate you, and I know how to love you now. I'm happy that we are in the same boat.” Jane honestly muttered, which made Wade stunned when she heard those words. Wade bit his lips, and he didn't know how he should react.
Jane pouted her lips, and scooped the ice cream so Wade could eat the ice cream. Wade opened his mouth, and stopped himself from smiling when Jane pampered him.
Jane hugged Wade tightly when she put down the ice cream, which made Wade shudder. Jane smiled, and smelled Wade's scent.
“I love you, Wade. And now that you say those words to me, you will not be free anymore.” Jane tightened her grip on Wade's waist. Wade laughed and hugged her back.
Wade felt that his heart was jumping with so much happiness when he heard those magical words. “I love you, too. Of course, I'm exclusively for you, Jane.” He mumbled and kissed Jane's head.
Wade felt that he was the happiest man in the world. He finally had Jane, and he would do everything so they would end up in the end.
“Erin, the wolf clothes like sheep.” Erin gritted her teeth when she saw other news about her on social media. Sophia acted like she sighed, and snatched Erin's phone away from her.
“Sister, you should stop reading those articles. We both know the truth that you are not like that. You should avoid stress.” Sophia innocently told Erin and placed the phone on the table. Erin violently took a breath, and Amelia was smiling when she saw how Sophia took care of Erin.
“Erin, listen to your sister. She only cared about your welfare.” Amelia agreed to Sophia, which made Sophia's eyes sparkle.
Erin frowned when she saw how Amelia acted towards Sophia. She couldnt stop herself from thinking about why Amelia had been acting that way lately.
“Sophia, is it fine with you that Erin will get the company? I don't want you to get mad at us because we are a family.” Amelia was sweet. She thought that Sophia wouldn't notice her deceiving looks.
“Auntie, I'm not mad because I know that I didn't deserve that company. Aside from that, I don't think that I can handle that big company. I didn't even study, and I don't think that I can study and work at the same time.” Sophia answered. She even noticed how Amelia grinned at her.
“We don't want you to think that we are stealing company from you, Sophia. I know that you are the legitimate daughter.” Amelia said like she was hurt when she spoke. Sophia acted like she was unhappy because of what Amelia had told her.
“Auntie, it's fine. I didn't think that you did those things to me. Erin deserves to get the company.” Sophia smiled and took a glass of water to give Erin. She wanted to laugh because Amelia was such an actress, and she was too.
“Where is Erin? Shit!” Robert rushed to Erin's room when he found out that their company was in a huge mess. His company dropped millions of dollars of money and it was because of Erin's scandal.
“Daddy!” Sophia screamed in fear when Robert went to Erin and slapped her.
“You fucking bitch! The board of directors are so mad at me because of you, and Storm”, Robert added, and choked Erin in anger. Sophia tried to stop Robert but she was enjoying the show. Of course, she was the one who made sure that those articles would be talked about in town. She knew that Erin would do everything to prevent their father from knowing what happened at the hospital, but Sophia wouldn't let that happen. She would make sure that Erin would be miserable from her sight.
