“What are you doing here?” Leo asked Erin when he saw her almost naked inside his house. It was six months, but Blossom was still missing. He was grieving because he had lost three people who were too important to him.
“Leo, Blossom is dead. Why don't you marry me now?” Erin murmured seductively. She rushed to Leo and hugged her tightly. Erin closed her eyes and smelled Leo's scent. “I love you so much, Leo. I do love you more than I love myself.”
Leo pushed Erin away from him. His breath was heavy, and he didn't know what to do next. Blossom was missing; he was sure of that. She wasn't dead as long as he didn't see her body.
“Shut up. Leave! Erin, if you did this again. I will tell your father and the world that you keep going inside my room without my permission.” Leo pushed Erin away from him, which made Erin fall to the floor. Erin was shocked, she didn't know that Leo would be more violent, so she stood up and gave Leo a murderous glare.
“I will ask my father to force you to marry me. Leo, I will get the company now. You are not lost if you marry me.”
“But, I don't even love you, Erin. I appreciate you as my friend.”
“No! You will learn how to love me. Leo, please!”
“Shut up! Leave!” Leo gritted his teeth, and he dragged Erin away from his room. The guards went to them and took Erin. They all didn't know how Erin sneaked out of Leo's room.
“Leo!” Erin screamed, and she didn't even see Jane standing at the door. She was with her son, Jeremy, and her husband, Wade.
“What are you doing here, bitch? This is trespassing!” Jane exclaimed and looked at Leo using her suspicious look. Jane was the one who handled Blossom's company like what Blossom wrote to her will. She didn't know why Blossom did those things, but she knew that Blossom wasn't dead. Even though they might have found her body, she wouldn't believe that the body was Blossom. She knew that she was alive.
“Baby, stop. Jeremy might wake up because of you.” Wade stopped his wife. He knew how mad Jane was at Erin. Wade held Jane and waited for Erin to be dragged by the guards outside.
“Jane, what are you doing here?” Leo couldn't stop himself from asking. He sadly looked at Jane's baby, and he remembered about his upcoming twins. He took a deep breath and took Jeremy in Wade's hold.
“Leo, we found out that someone wanted Blossom to die. We search for those men, and they are connected to Erin and her mother. Leo, they are the mastermind of Blossom's accident. I think they might have Blossom now.” Jane stormed inside and went to the sofa. Leo didn't know how to react because of what Jane had told him.
“What do you mean? Jane, I know that my wife isn't dead. If her body isn't found, I won't believe whoever says she's dead.”
“We find out those men were working for Erin and her mother. I think she tried to kill Blossom because of you. Leo, you need to give whatever Erin wants while we are still looking for Blossom.”
“What? Are you saying that I needed to marry her? I don't want Blossom to think that I forgot about her! She will be mad at me if I marry Erin.” Leo didn't like the idea that he needed to marry Erin to find Blossom. What would happen if he married Erin?
“I'm the powerful man of this town. I won't do whatever you like.” Leo added, gnashing his teeth in so much frustration. He was a powerful man, and why he needed to act like he was so weak?
“Erin is aggressive when you aren't still married to her. She will calm down if you marry her. Leo, I know how powerful you are, but why you don't still see Blossom?” Jane sarcastically replied, which made Leo stunned for a little moment. He was the head of the Fontaine family now, and Jane acted strange and sarcastic with him.
“Jane, are you on their side now? You know how I love Blossom, right?” Leo felt weak, and he didn't like that feeling. He closed his eyes, and he tried to stop his tears. He didn't want to cry because he had no reason to mourn.
“I'm your ally, not your enemy. All I wanted you to do was trust me. We found out that Amelia is connected to Storm's father. We needed to find their secrets. For now, you can marry Erin in a fake marriage. Let her think that she will finally win.” Jane didn't like what she suggested but didn't have a choice. That's what Blossom had said to her before she got into an accident.
“I will trust you with this one. Don't disappoint me, Jane.” Leo mumbled and stood up. Leo sighed hard before he looked at Jeremy. If Blossom was still alive, she might be with their babies now.
“Leo, I'm sorry if I must make this decision for you. The board of directors of the Fontaine company wanted to get rid of you. You need to wake up.” Jane stood up and tapped Leo. She didn't like that Leo was at his weakest point. He needed to go back to the ruthless Leo that she had known. Their family was worried that their company might be stolen from their company.
“Okay, I will do that. That's all that I needed to do, right?” Leo asked, and Jane nodded at the answer.
When Leo arrived at the Fontaine Company, all directors were shocked. They all thought they could replace Leo as the CEO of the Fontaine Company.
Those board members wanted to get rid of him as soon as possible. The Fontaine lost everything within seven days, and some of the board members left, withdrawing their investment because they feared that they might lose their million dollars.
Leo didn't waste time and set a meeting. When the board members came into the meeting hall, they were all furious and blamed Leo for being stupid.
For seven days, they lost billions of dollars, and they didn't know where the money was now. Leo was sitting at the middle part of the long table. It looked like he wasn't bothered by what he had heard.
They all stopped when Jane came in with Uriel. They all knew that Jane was more heartless than Leo. Jane had a poker face, while Uriel had a dark expression.
Jane went to the vacant seat beside Leo while Uriel stood behind Leo. It looked like they were all there to support Leo, but the board of directors thought Leo didn't have the power now.
“Leo, why don't you start the meeting now? We all wanted to know where the billions of dollars are now. We wanted to know who stole that large sum of money.” A man yelled, and he had a proud look. He was one of Robert and Amelia's men inside the Fontaine company.
“Mr. White, you are the one who invested a small amount in our company. Do you want to withdraw your money? I still didn't know how you invested that money even though we have the minimum amount for investment. A thousand dollars turned into millions because of me.” Leo smiled creepily. The man was stunned when Leo gave him an icy looked.
“Is it my fault that they accepted my investment here? Leo, you aren't the king of this company now!” Mr. White screamed. Jane called Leo's secretary, which made the secretary enter the meeting hall.
“Give them those papers,” Jane commanded and watched how the board members widened their eyes in surprise. Jane smirked while Uriel's eyes sparkled. “Did you all think that we did know how you all stole a lot of money from our company? Mr. White, it looked like the amount that you stole is too big than the profit of your investment?”
“Did you all think that we are all stupid and that we didn't even see that you are all thieves? We don't like to work with you all. We didn't like to work with someone who could easily be bought with a small amount of money.” Jane clenched her teeth and kicked Leo's feet. Leo gave Jane a death gaze and chuckled.
“Since this company lost a lot of money, you all stole a large amount, too. I want you all to sign these papers. You took all your shares from this company; it's more than that, right? If you all didn't sign these papers, then we will all see you in court.” Leo emotionless uttered, which made the board of directors tremble. They all did what Robert and Amelia had said to them.
Robert wanted to pressure Leo to marry Erin. It looked like he would do anything to make Erin happy, which confused Leo even more. When Blossom was still with him, Robert almost cursed Erin because of the scandal she had always been doing.
Now, it looked like Erin could do whatever she wanted, which made Leo feel that everything was so severe.
“Call the police department that I talked with. They all knew what they would do with these thieves.” Leo ordered his secretary. The board of members panicked when Leo's secretary obediently left the room.
They all didn't expect that Leo would be cruel to them. They all thought that Leo would be pleased to be the CEO of the Fontaine Company, but now, Leo made them see the untouchable in his position.
“This company will be declared bankrupt. We are not losing that we didn't get any cents here because we all took a large amount of money to this company.” Mr. White had dared to announce his sins, which made Leo smile at him.
“Yes! Robert will soon own this company. He will buy this cheap company!”
“If you all think you are all more powerful than Robert, you are all wrong.”
“Then sign it. Yes, you are all correct; someone will buy this company.” Jane chuckled; she didn't like those men uttering foul words against her family.
Jane watched how those foolish people signed the papers without reading the whole clause. She smiled and clasped her hands onto the table.
“Thank you to all of you for signing those papers. It's proof that you all steal a lot of money from us. Aside from that, as a board member of the Fontaine company, I didn't know that stupid people surrounded my family. You didn't even read the clause and signed everything without even thinking that there was something that you didn't like writing on the paper.” Jane laughed so hard while Uriel tried to stop himself from smiling. They successfully removed the board of directors, and now their company would be exclusive to the Fontaine family.
“Did you all think that we are stupid to let you walk free while you are all stealing something from us? Did you all forget about the code of this company? We didn't tolerate this kind of betrayal. The bank will all get your property based on the amount you took from us. Aside from that, we are only testing all of you. Leo, come on, tell them!” Jane didn't want to wait any longer. She missed Wade so much.
“Relax, Jane. It's not an hour that you aren't with them.” Uriel frowned and rolled his eyes because he knew why Jane wanted to rush everything. At first, he didn't like the idea that Wade would marry his sister, but when he saw how happy Jane was, he slowly accepted it.
Their parents talked to him and even told them that Jane wouldn't marry Wade as long as he didn't like it, which kept Wade bothering him in his office whenever he wanted.
“You all enjoyed our family's money without even feeling any guilt. And now, you are all trying to betray us. I'm happy to announce that this company will not be bankrupt. Our company didn't lose billions of dollars like what you all know.” Leo announced, which made those men regret what they all did to the Fontaine family.
“You are all selfish bastards. You all didn't even think about the employees here. I don't like to work with all of you; aside from that, all the money you invested was only two percent of my wealth.”
