Chapter 109

Robert wasn’t in his right mind. He felt stupid not to discern that the snakes surrounding him were whole. Robert smiled as he tried not to make them see that he was thinking about what Sophia had been thinking. He was lost for words, and what he couldn’t understand was why Sophia told him everything after Erin got married.

“Sophia…” Robot uttered Sophia’s name with so much disappointment. Sophia gave him the sweetest smile before she gazed at him. Sophia fixed her hair and noticed how Robert's face changed.

“Why are you doing this? I thought you always wanted Erin to be happy. Sophia, you are my daughter, but I felt you used me to get your plan works.” Robert wanted to be honest with his daughter, which made Sophia chuckle like an innocent lady in front of him.

Sophia pursed her lips before she answered, “I came back here not to be their ally. I came here because I wanted to avenge my mother’s death. You are so stupid to choose them. If you didn’t want to participate, I wanted you to do whatever I wanted. Did you know that I was trying to save you?” Sophia stopped.

“It was Amelia who killed my mother. I was with my mother when Amelia attacked her and followed her outside, which killed my mother in a car crash. It was her fault, no, it was their fault.” Sophia gritted her teeth; her eyes turned bloodshot as her lips trembled in anger. She made sure that her hatred would be her inspiration to be successful. What Sophia did angrily was she couldn’t even see her mother’s corpse. She was missing but announced dangrilyead because of Amelia.

“I… I didn’t know that it was Amelia.” Robert stammered as his heart clenched in pain. He closed his eyes when he felt that his tears would betray him. He was still not moved on by the pain that his first wife gave him. It was too late when he realized that he loved her, no, that he didn’t stop loving her.

That night, he realized that he didn't stop loving her. Someone called him in his office, which made him see that Amelia was soaking wet from the rain. She thought that Amelia went outside while she was buying some groceries, and he found out that his wife had left while Sophia was crying so loudly. Robert was agitated. He waited for his wife until he fell asleep.

But what Robert made him woke up was the group of police telling him that they found his wife's car fell on the cliff. All of the investigators concluded that everything was an accident, so Robert thought his wife killed herself because of him.

“I'm so mad at you. How could you believe their lies? How could you not dig for the truth? It was you who pushed me to do this.” Sophia's eyes turned enraged, and she smiled evilly. She would make sure that Erin would have her vengeance.

Robert was speechless. He didn't know that Sophia was as brilliant as he didn't-expected. Robert closed his eyes because he didn't even think that Sophia would know everything about his wife.

“They are all sets of liars, and I will make sure they will regret what they did to my mother and me. Dad, if you are on my side, you will help me to get the justice that I'm seeking.” Sophia mumbled, which made Robert take a deep breath. Robert didn't like to have a problem anymore, but because Sophia would like to get the justice she sought, he wouldn't think twice about helping her.

“About the surveillance videos. I know you wanted to see it with your own eyes. Someone will send those to you.” Sophia left and didn't wait for Robert's response. She was emotionless when her phone vibrated.

Two months passed,

“Leo! Where are you going?” Erin was so annoyed when Leo didn't even look for what she had prepared. She was wearing a scarlet revealing fitted nightgown while holding her wine glass.

She waited for Leo to come home, and Leo went home in the middle of the night. Erin thought that she would be happy with Leo, she felt it would be easier for her to get Leo's heart, but she was wrong.

Leo didn't even sleep with her since they married each other. The worse, he didn't even go to their house, as if he didn't have a wife waiting for him.

“Did you know I'm waiting for you because I'm preparing dinner for you?” Erin was so irritated when Leo just only glanced at her. It looked like Leo wasn't affected at all, which made her feel that whatever she might do, it was all useless in Leo's sight.

“Did I ask you to cook for me? Erin, you know that I'm busy at my company?” Leo was colder when it came to her. Erin's mouth parted, and she clenched her teeth.

“You are busy but have time to sleep in the house where you lived with Blossom. Leo, I'm your wife now! Did you think it's too bad that someone might see you sleeping in that freaking house?” Erin felt the bitterness in her mouth. She thought Leo would bring her to his home, where he lived with Blossom.

But she was wrong. On their honeymoon, Leo brought her to the simple house, and when she asked him about his old home, Leo didn't even waste saliva to explain everything to her.

“It's my house, too, Erin. I didn't know you were such a nagger, so I didn't want to go home.” Leo was more irritated, which made Erin stunned.

Leo scoffed, and his stares were so pierced that they made Erin flinch. “All you did is seduce me because you wanted to sleep with me. Erin, didn't you know that it's been two years since I didn't have sex with Blossom since we got married? Why are you rushing?”

Erin was dumbfounded. She couldn't believe that Leo chose to be more brutally honest with her. She rushed everything because she wanted to get pregnant with Leo's child. What would happen if Blossom was alive after all?

Erin didn't want to lose this time. She finally gets Leo in Blossom's hands, and if she fails, she will make sure that Blossom dies with her. If Blossom were reincarnated, she would do anything to make herself alive. She would do everything to compete with her.

Now, Blossom was missing, and her fans had forgotten about her. She was pleased because those fans decided to support her as if she didn't have a lot of scandals in the past. Sophia taught her how to make the past turn into a clean state.

“You don't have any plans to conceive a child? Leo, time is too fast, and I want to have your baby. I want to build a happy family with you. I'm your wife now.” Erin felt her heart was even more heartbroken for how Leo mistreated her.

Leo took a deep breath. Something in his eyes flashed, and there was a strange emotion. “I don't want to assume you're trying to invalidate my feelings, Erin. I lost my two babies and my wife. Aren't you happy I married you even though I didn't love you? You wanted to replace my wife, and I married you even though my family was against it. And, now you aren't contented, you want to replace my children now? Didn't you know that I was grieving?”

“I didn't know that you are selfish and all you think is about yourself now. The Erin I knew was so selfless, or maybe you were acting like a sweet understanding woman at that time?” Leo added, which made Erin widen her eyes in fear of losing Leo in her hands

Erin gulped from the tension that she was feeling with Leo. She forgot that Leo didn't like someone trying to control him. She forgot that Leo wouldn't want her whenever she didn't respect his decisions.

“Tell me, Erin. Is it all this time you are acting that you are good, but the truth is you aren't good.” Leo stepped forward, which made Erin have tears in her eyes. She stepped back whenever Leo took a step to go in her direction.

“I'm sorry, I forgot that you are grieving for your loss. I was so excited for us, Leo. And I'm sorry that I didn't think about your decision.” Erin tried her best not to stammer, so she swallowed too hard when she felt her chest clenching.

Leo didn't say anything. He moved closer to her and pointed his finger at the middle part of her chest. “I'm not preventing you from wearing this. But if you did this stunt again, I won't think twice but to drag you out of this house naked so they will see what your body looks like.”

Leo hurriedly left and didn't wait for Erin's reaction. Erin gnashed her teeth, and she didn't know what she would do to conceive Leo's child. She thought that she would go to be crazy and that all of her plans would be put to waste.

All she thought was she needed Sophia's help again. She didn't mind if Sophia asked something in return because if Sophia did those things, she wouldn't think twice but to kill her. Sophia was still alive because she had a use for her.

Erin's hands shook violently, and she threw everything on the table. She screamed so loudly that her throat almost dried. She didn't know that Leo could hear him because he wasn't still living in their house.

“Leo!!” Erin yelled in so much agony. She was so mad. She gasped for air and gripped her hair. She needed to do anything. No one could snatch everything away from her.

After two years,

“Hi, I'm here for the job interview.” A woman greeted her with a smile, which made the receptionist nod and gave the job interview number without checking her identity. The woman smiled and went forward to the elevator. She kept checking her wristwatch, trying to calm herself so she wouldn't be nervous.

She received an email that she needed to go to the Fontaine Company to know who would be her boss. It was her future boss that would interview her.

“Leah Thompson?” A woman came forward to her. She smiled, but she saw how the woman blinked her eyes as if she had seen a ghost.

“I'm Leah Thompson. I'm sorry if I was late for two minutes.” Leah bit her lips, and the woman ushered her to their boss's office.

The woman sighed and tapped her shoulders before she muttered. “Good luck.”

Leah couldn't stop getting anxious even more when the woman said those words. She wasn't stupid to know that she would have a cruel boss, but she needed to work so hard.

When she entered the room, the man sat in his swivel chair, making Leah think everything was familiar.

“Hi, I'm Leah Thompson. I'm the one you will interview today. I'm sorry if I was late for two minutes, Mr. Fontaine.” Leah was stunned when she saw the man's face. She stepped back but smiled nervously when the man widened his eyes.

“Blossom…” Mr. Fontaine mumbled; she heard it, which made Leah laugh.

“Leah Thompson,” Leah repeated her name because it looked like the man didn't even hear her. The man pointed to the chair, so she sat on the chair.

The man looked at her face; Leo was sure it was Blossom. But why Blossom told her that her name was Leah Thompson?

Leah gave him her papers, and Leo read every detail. Blossom was alive, and he would make sure that she won't come out from his hand.

“You are hired.” Leo didn't want to waste time getting to know her. He tried to hug her so badly.

“Wait, I'm hired. Thank you so much, Mr. Fontaine.” Leah jumped happily, which made Leo see how Blossom acted whenever she was happy.

“Are you single?” Leo wanted to make sure that Blossom didn't have a boyfriend. He would be madly jealous once he discovered that Blossom was making out with random guys.

“Sir, I'm single. I don't have a boyfriend, but—but I have two children.” Leah answered, which made Leo cry with so much joy. His babies were all alive!
